Realizing Truths while Reading the Bible #1

A few years ago I really wanted to learn ancient Greek and Hebrew so I could know the truths of the Bible. So I went to Seminary and spent 1 1/2 years studying and saying ancient Greek....and now I can read both! I want to keep track like Moody did about what he found in the Bible. So here goes....

The Spiritual Battles of Noah

After years of building the Ark and preaching about the up and coming flood, Noah's battle with Lucifer was not over with by far. Satan hit Noah were it hits the most. 5 years before the flood, Noah's Dad died and Noah continued building the Ark. The Year of the flood, Noah's Grandfather died as the oldest man to have lived ever. Now Noah had his Dad around for 595 years of his life, and his Grandfather around for 600 years. So losing them was a tough blow I am sure.

But Noah just kept following God's command to build the Ark. The Devil knows how to get a man to give up and curse God....God revealed this with the account of Job. Noah knew that his Great Grandfather was Enoch and that Enoch was so righteous that God took him and he did not die. Now he has lost his Dad and Grandfather and both of them were not righteous in the sight of God when Noah was 500....hopefully they got their lives right with God.....before they died.....otherwise Noah would have known that he would never see either one again.

Lesson.......be prepared to lose everything when following God....the Devil knows how to tear us down and if our eyes are not set on God and God alone in a very close personal relationship....then Lucifer just might get us and kills us ...damning us to hell with him forever. Remember Paul's words in the New Testament about running the race. Do not say or think anything bad about God no matter what happens in our lives.

As a side note.......I just found out about 3 deaths of family members this week. One of which I was close too. Yet......though the numerous deaths of family while being a Christian....it hurts but I keep going forward with God.
