I got a request to post some pictures. The only pictures that I have of me after my belly expanded was at my friend's wedding. The wedding was on April 5th. I was 6 months pregnant. I was privileged to be a part of the wedding as a bride's maid. It was a merging of two cultures (Spainish and Indian). The dresses were made in India and were all unique and intricately made. The ceremony was simple and special. We did not get to stay for much of the reception because I was having contractions, so we went to the hospital to get it checked out since we were away from home. Gene bought me cake on the way home because I didn't get any of the wedding cake.
Things are going okay so far at home. I don't do well with heat and it was warm this weekend. (warm for me is in the mid-upper 70s) We are putting in a window air conditioning unit next week...VERY important. I have started working on education modules to renew my certification. Not very exciting stuff, but it's something that I have been trying to find the time to do for a while, so I'm glad to get some of it out of the way. It works out because Gene is studying most of the time anyway. I also have time to spend in the Word, which has been the best part of all of this. Through the frustrations of not being able to do some of the things that I want to do, I feel like I have been given the gift of time. I'm trying to take advantage of it without overworking myself.
