Count you worthy - to see as a result of obvious evidence... to view the outward and see the clear print of the inward. This is ALWAYS the plain desire of the Christian, to manifest the true character of Christ, to be the physical display of His glory, to bear the name of the Savior in such a manner that Christ Himself is pleased with how we represent His nature. The great news of the Bible on this question is that God WILL create the full character and likeness of Jesus Christ in every one of us that belongs to Him. He will not leave you as you are. He will not leave you broken, frail, flawed and wounded. He will not leave you wracked with guilt and ruined by sin, He will not abandon you to the cruel grip of the old man. He has done everything needful to release you from your bondage, from the terrible grip of sin which held your chains, and destroyed your future... and now that He has set you free, He gives you a new future as a citizen of the Kingdom of Grace, He gives you a new inheritance as a child of the King, He gives you a new nature as a brother of the Son... and all of it, every single aspect, is by His own working, rather than by ours. This extends even to the very work of this counting you as worthy, it reaches into the past, redeems it by His love and remakes it according to His mercy. And then, miracle of miracles, He sees it as if it were always true, and as if it were really yours!! This double set of renewing graces are the birthright of every single follower of Jesus! So leave your futile labor, your empty struggle for worth and find all the worth of all that is in the precious name of Jesus. You will be made like Him, seen as Him, valued as Him, and above all, loved BY Him!!!
