There’s a huge debate with people on both sides of the issue regarding wearing masks for health. If you go on virtually any social network, you’ll see heartfelt posts either from folks who resolutely refuse to wear masks or from those who seem to earnestly believe that wearing a mask is beneficial. The argument goes that if you “love” people, you’ll cover your mouth and nose with a cloth mask that is alleged to keep bacterium, viruses and the like from spreading from people to people. The implication is that if you don’t mask up, then it’s clear you do not love people.
You’ll have to make your own decision of course, but in order to make a decision based on actual facts, some research is required. Proponents of wearing masks argue that it has nothing to do with an alleged loss of rights, but for everyone’s health. Those opposed to masks argue that it IS an infringement on our rights since it seems clear enough that masks offer no benefit at all. The problem is that we have so-called experts on both sides of the issue making claims as to either the benefits or risks of wearing masks. Because of that, it can take longer to wade through all the information to arrive to solid, factual conclusions.
If masks are beneficial, then I have to ask why the manufacturers of these masks would take the time to print right on the box that the masks do not actually stop the spread of Coronavirus? It seems clear enough with that alone, doesn’t it? The manufacturers of masks have taken the time to imprint a warning on the box itself that clearly notes that it does not provide any protection against COVID-19. How can that be more clear? I find it fascinating that the “independent fact-checkers at Facebook” checked this claim and found it to be “partly-false.” So, apparently, what is clearly written on the side of the package is only “partly-true”?
If masks work, why are prisoners released from prison? Why are large stores like Lowe’s, Home Depot and Walmart that allow up to 846 people in their stores at a time (as in the case of Lowe’s), yet congregations of 100 or less must either not meet or meet but cannot sing? If masks work, why the need to remain at least 6 feet away from other people? If masks work, why doesn’t wearing a mask protect the wearer from getting CV-19? Apparently, ALL people need to wear masks for this to become effective in spite of the fact that the Coronavirus virion is so small, the average mask (or bandana) that people wear today will not keep the virions from traveling through their masks, period.
Why were dentists and doctors offices closed while abortion clinics remained open as “essential”?
Does wearing masks, staying at least six feet away from other people, wearing rubber gloves and washing our hands all the time really work to keep us healthy or is it all in preparation for the coming...
