Proverbs 26:17 "He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears."
This wisdom from Solomon would have been in his surely would have authored “10 rules for Twitter”. I think of this passage as well as others when I come across someone who is displaying the attributes of a fool or sluggard, (a twitter sluggard is someone who replies by emotion instead of reason which takes time and effort). Now a lazy fool posts something on twitter. There are a couple of options that Solomon gives you. According to Proverbs 26:4-5 you can not answer a fool, or you can answer a fool and I can say with confidence after reading the entirety of the book of Probers, that not answering a fool is the correct option 90% of the time. Remember Christian you represent the King of Saints. He is not usually glorified in your pithy wisecracks which own the idiots online, however sometimes he is., not very often, but sometimes.
