(James 2:19) “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”
Belief in God only qualifies you to be a devil. Belief is not faith, just as knowledge is not wisdom. You must believe in order to have faith just as you must have knowledge before you can wisely put it to use, hence wisdom. Faith is belief to the point that it becomes action just as love is not what you say but what you do. (John 14:21) “He that hath my commandments AND KEEPETH THEM, he it is that loveth me.” If we are not striving to live what we say we believe, it is not genuine faith.
(1 John 2:3-4) “And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”
