SERMONAUDIO TIP
Christmas Book Outreach Project
Attention broadcasters!

Please allow us the opportunity to remind you of an outreach project idea for churches.

As Christmas approaches, we know that many churches are seeking fresh and effective ways of sharing the Gospel. SermonAudio has partnered with Great Writing Publications in an innovative outreach project. ‚ÄúThe Twelve Days of Christmas‚ÄĚ is a 112 page book of 24 morning and evening devotional readings on the incarnation of Christ. It is our hope that the book will be an encouragement to Christians as well as a tool to introduce friends to the Gospel.

The book is customizable in the following ways for your church:

  • 3 choices of cover (modern, traditional, or holiday).
  • Your choice of Bible text used in the book (KJV, NKJV, or ESV).
  • Your church name and address printed on the back cover and a short, one-page message (or synopsis of your ministry details) printed inside the book.
We believe that a personalized book will be harder to refuse than a traditional Christmas tract and that these books will prove to be an effective tool for personal evangelism. It also might be useful for church members to give as a gift to family or friends. Handing it out during caroling events would also be a unique means of sharing the Gospel.

For more details, the full text of the book contents, cover options, and ordering information, visit the project website at:

http://twelvedaysofchristmas.net

We hope this project will be a help in your church’s outreach efforts locally. We would encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity for this Christmas season.

Enjoy!

Why promote it during that time when the wicked celebrate thealomg with the willful disobedient? What is it that we don't understand what God has endorsed as acceptable times of honoring him?

A book of this sort can be marketed any time of the year.

This is a pagan affair. Get it!?

Last year I meant to but some unexpected things came up and I wasn't able to get them, I was actually thinking the other day if you guys were going to do this again, and it's good to see that you are. God bless.
Thanks for your kind thoughts, Connor7; I really hope it works out for you to do the project this year!

Let your speech be always with grace, Dave

We are to continue in well doing at season and out of season, yet it is an unwise sower who pours his precious seed on a patch of thorns.
Common sense is never contrary to spiritual insight.

Amen to our thankfulness on the birth of Christ, but without his death and ressurection we would still be lost!!

Nice to have a Scripture based devotional on the incarnation about this time of the year.

However, focusing in isolation on any section of the doctrine of Christ seldom bears fruit, and particularly, in the case of the incarnation, it often ends mixed up with seasonal sentimentalism.

As for reaching the lost at this time of the year with the topic, it seems quite unprobable, as the average intoxication such a frazzled season entitles (the spirit of Christmas with all its cares detailed in the parable of the sower), it raises up an unsurpassed blockage of thorns and thistles that may, quite obviously, suffocate the bearing of the message.

Nevertheless, may the booklet make it into many 'Christmas boxes' in the hope that it may ease up with much blessing many a fatigued spirit after the frantic 25th.

Guys I encourage you not to get in on a debate on this, I'm buying 10 of these for my neighbors and you should try to do the same if you can.
I am not trying to cause strife and division. I am simply stating the facts that the secular aspect of Christmas is Pagan whereas the religious aspect of Christmas(the Birth of Jesus) is not Pagan. It is false to state that the religious aspect of Christmas(The Birth of Jesus) is Pagan.

Amen and Amen.
Yep,

this and a whole lot of man-made inventions replace the role of the Holy Spirit revealing to Christians (and the unsaved ) what God desires of his creatures.

Hearken to our Lord's words Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; (John 16:7-10).

Furthermore, God does not speak to us through trees, candles, rosaries, snake dancing, doing alms before man, long prayers etc.

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Hebrews 1:1-2

We just keep walking in the flesh instead of the spirit.

Hello everyone, I'm involved in the origination, publication, and promotion of this book. I think there are some good points in the conversation and exchanges--THANK YOU! Maybe it would be helpful to keep in mind that the book's subtitle actually expands and clarifies matters. The lower part of the cover (not clear in the smaller graphics here) reads "Morning and Evening Thoughts on Immanuel: God with Us." As you are able, pray that it will please the Lord to bring people to salvation as they read it!

The word "christmas" diminishes the evangelistic objective.
It is critical to keep the truth pure and not mingle it with error.
Connor,I am involved in evangelism.
Thank you for keeping me in check.
We rejoice in Christ always and don't need to negate what He has DONE and will do by using vain traditions.

Saint Matthew 2:1-2, 9-11. Saint Luke 1:44, 46-47, 2:13-14.

Connor, The secular aspect of Christmas is Pagan but the religious aspect of Christmas(The Birth of Jesus) is not Pagan. It would have been more accurate to state that the secular aspect of Christmas is Pagan but the religious aspect of Christmas(The Birth of Jesus) is not Pagan. It is not unscriptural to celebrate the Birth of Jesus on 25 December even though in all likelihood He was not born on that date.

Looks like some dear folk are pre-empting the Annual Pagan Festival Debate. Can't you just wait until it comes around in mid November?

In the meantime, let us pray for the success of the word of God going out, that souls will be saved by the Sovereign Lord, through sound teaching concerning the Incarnation of God Almighty.

I'm sure there will be a lot of fellow believers who would benefit from reading this material, that they might glory in the wonder of who Jesus Christ is, the Incarnate Son of the Living God. In other words, "GOD was manifest in the flesh".

show me where in Stranger's post or mine where anything is said about a date or a so called holiday. I simply answered his/her post. Galatians 4:4 shows Paul under inspiration of the Holy Spirit in rejoicing and celebration of the birth of Christ. I.E. brought up Simeon and Anna, they both celebrated after it was told. Our Lord's own words in John 3:16 ought to be reason for celebration and thankfulness in our lives.

Thanks Jim, and I wish the project well.

Of course, any project will see success, if it was born out of the Spirit's desire, and the Spirit of Jesus put it on someone's heart to do it.

I did read some of the text before I posted, and it is just the sort of thing that many unbelievers have never really heard of. While we enjoy sermons galore, books and so on, most people do not even know the basics. I'm talking UK here, where ignorance of spiritual things is rife among the younger generation.

I realise the use of the word "Christmas" in every chapter title is to relate to the worldling, but I don't think that works very well in Protestantism. It is "Christ-Mass", a RC invention. But "Incarnation of God", now you're talking! Why bring "Christmas" into it?

Luke 2:13, 14 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men

Luke 2:20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

2 Cor 9:15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift

you don't celebrate the gift of the Savior into this world??? No birth means no sinless life, no miracles, no disciples, no passion, no death on the cross, no glorious resurrection, no payment for your sins. You don't find His leaving the glories of heaven to become a humble servant and die for your sins worth celebration and rejoicing? You need a command to do this? You might be a stranger to His grace my friend.

1Peter 1:8,9 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls
