Dutch Doctors Can Now Secretly Place Sedatives in Food before Euthanizing Alzheimer's Patients
In a decision that is drawing widespread criticism from ethicists, a Netherlands medical committee has changed its code of practice to allow doctors to slip sedatives into the food or drink of patients with dementia before they are euthanized so as to prevent them from becoming “disturbed, agitated or aggressive.”

The change in rules by the Netherlands review committee for euthanasia comes after the country’s Supreme Court ruled in April that a doctor who carried out assisted suicide on a 74-year-old patient with Alzheimer’s did not commit murder by placing a sedative into the patient’s coffee.

The patient woke up and had to be held down by her daughter and husband, the BBC reported. The patient previously had written a statement saying she “wanted to be euthanized before entering a care home, but adding that she wanted to decide ‘while still in my senses and when I think the time is right,’” ...

Thanks, MS. I'm an herbalist training to be a nutritionist. The more I learn about plants and the body the more I am in awe of our Creator.

HerbalMama- love that your an advocate of herbs, and naturopathic medicine.
Prevention is the key, not synthetic meds that mask the symptoms and do not allow the body to self-heal.

Ladybug,
I'm glad your friend was able to address the root cause!!! Diet plays a huge role in our health. Universal healthcare is available- walk into a grocery store and buy organic foods. But that's not what people are crying for. They don't want healthcare, they want sick care. Cardiovascular disease, cholesterol, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, High blood pressure, etc. etc. have plenty of research backed studies proving the link between the disease and the diet and on top of the research there are personal stories of those like your friend. God knew what He was doing when He designed the world.

And for the naysayers, herbs are used in mainstream medicine. Foxglove, a beautiful flower with potential to kill, is utilized to make medicine for the heart. 😉

You’re absolutely right, Ladybug. Nutrition is one of the key factors in good health. Physical activity is another. Most Americans with diabetes and hypertension got that way because they eat too much and move around too little.

Great points HM. Another example, they treat high blood pressure with medication, which brings the pressure down but does not address the cause of the spike in bp. My friend, who is a retired RN, had hbp, she refused the meds, changed her diet and the hbp was gone. Nutrition plays a huge role in our health. Meds often times only put a band aid on the problem, not to mention the dangerous side affects of the medication. An example of that can be found in anti depressants, which actually bring on depression...

The steering away from natural remedies was birthed in the early 1900s by the Rockefeller foundation, the love of money was the root cause - https://prepareforchange.net/2020/11/23/the-rockefeller-drug-empire-since-1913/

HerbalMama, I know you are always interested in matters pertaining to health, so I thought I’d tell you about a new diet plan I’ve found that really works. I can eat all the Chinese food I want. The only catch is, I’m only allowed to use one chopstick.

Adriel, that's a great quote. In fact, it argues against our current system. Healthcare as is is big business- one can't deny that. If you go in they'll give you a pill to quiet down symptoms without addressing the root cause. Sometimes this is great! Sometimes a pill is necessary in order to get the symptoms under control. However, it usually stops there and the underlying issue is neglected. But as your quote said, take care of your body first. Nutrition is extremely important in ones health (which doctors are not educated in despite their extensive education), and then God has give us many plants (not even talking about cbd) to heal various issues. Utilize the medicine (potions) God has given us first (Ezekiel 47:12) and seek out the stronger stuff then the knife if need be. That's not how we go about it though. Nobody here denies using mainstream medicine or refuses to use doctors, lol. They have their place. Euthanizing patients is not their place. Sedating those patients because the patients fight to live is not their place.

Chris, yes, there are exceptions. We are grateful for the few that can't be bought.

“If one makes no use of intelligence or medicine when he could do so without detriment to his neighbor, such a person injures his body and must beware lest he become a suicide in God’s eyes. By the same reasoning a person might forego eating and drinking, clothing and shelter, and boldly proclaim his faith that if God wanted to preserve him from starvation and cold, he could do so without food and clothing. Actually that would be suicide. It is even more shameful for a person to pay no heed to his own body and to fail to protect it against the plague the best he is able, and then to infect and poison others who might have remained alive if he had taken care of his body as he should have. He is thus responsible before God for his neighbor’s death and is a murderer many times over. Indeed, such people behave as though a house were burning in the city and nobody were trying to put the fire out. Instead they give leeway to the flames so that the whole city is consumed, saying that if God so willed, he could save the city without water to quench the fire.
No, my dear friends, that is no good. Use medicine; take potions which can help you” (M.Luther) (Whether One May Flee from the Plague)
Thanks Adriel, most helpful.

Nov NHS 2020

Son in law's mother wrongly 'diagnosed(?)' over the phone with arthritis, prescribed tablets. Later rushed to hospital sick and dizzy and told instead a circulation problem. Discharged still sick and dizzy and put in the hands of carers. Phone call from carer to go over urgently, to find his mother on sofa being sick and distressed. GP on phone said not to go to hospital, so son stayed over, but his mother very sick and ambulance called. Ambulance saying to each other 'Do not resucitate' in front of family. Son in law checks last hospital discharge sheet and astounded to see 'ecoli'. GP says she went into hospital and came out a skeleton.

At no time was she treated for ecoli or the conditions she first went in. Now in hospital bring treated for those conditions and one missed, complaint of negligence.

Note 'DO NOT RESUCITATE' despite she has no terminal illness.

A personal experience this week. New consultant: 'seems unbelievable they can send someone home worse than when they went in unless they’re terminally ill with the same condition they went in with'.

Who to blame. Be warned.
