Wikipedia bans editors from expressing support for traditional marriage
Wikipedia has decided to restrict its editors from expressing opposition to same-sex marriage on its platform ¬≠‚ÄĒ a decision that comes months after co-founder Larry Sanger said the site‚Äôs neutrality policy was ‚Äúdead.‚ÄĚ
Volunteers who write and edit Wikipedia‚Äôs articles can no longer include on their profile page any ‚Äúuserbox‚ÄĚ ‚ÄĒ a badge expressing their beliefs ‚ÄĒ that is against gay marriage. For example, one such userbox states, ‚ÄúThis user believes marriage is between one man and one woman.‚ÄĚ
The decision was made after a recent discussion where ‚Äúpredominantly left-wing editors‚ÄĚ argued such a stance was ‚Äúdiscriminatory‚ÄĚ and against site policy, according to Breitbart....
It's not traditional marriage. It's marriage, period. Using the former language conveys the false notion that there is more than one kind. Doing so puts marriage in the position of defending its existence. Whatever the other relationships, they aren't marriage.

This is the second story about this issue that SA posted, on which I almost commented. The second time...
Wikipedia is one of the originators of crowd sourced info. As such, truth is sometimes achieved but not always. For instance, when a passenger flight was downed over Ukraine, Russia made sure that its side was touted largely. Medical information is also notoriously wrong.
So if there were no restrictions before on anything, it's quite interesting that any posters who declare themselves in agreement to Biblical marriage are cancelled.
The Wikipedia team apparently doesn't respect those who don't run in the same riot as they do. Those people will give an account.
