Thank you cv, most interesting.

Here in Britain we know what it was like to have the (Roman Catholic) church higher in authority than anyone else, and it was not pleasant. However, it is better to be freed from the consequences and power and slavery of sin, than to be free from slavery to the guv.

John 8:34-36 KJV
(34)  Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
(35)  And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
(36)  If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Romans 6:5-7 KJV
(5)  For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
(6)  Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
(7)  For he that is dead is freed from sin.

There are some Presbyterians who would like to see again the state taken over by the church (their church), but I do not think it will ever happen, which is probably a good thing. We are no longer living under the old covenant, and today, all believers are equally priests unto God.

Thats a yankee thingy. It's not to keep the church out of the state, but to keep the state out of the church. You know, kinda like, "Congress shall make no .."
Of course the pommies just won't get it, cause they only KNOW a state established church - à la the nicolaitans. The world tries to copy the yanks but they soon find out they can't. The world has EFFECTUAL freedom - that is Ceaser grants it, ... until it decides not to. The yanks have ACTUAL freedom, granted by the constitution. Thats why , for instance, the yanks have a right to bear arms - to prevent a tyrannical government from taking over. Can you imagine the king granting its subjects that right? We poor drabs wouldn't know what to do with it anyways. America's founding sinequanon is liberty and freedom, as it fled tyranny, and God granted it. But not the Britts, they just transplanted themselves across the globe. No fleeing. You exemplify the clueless state of the whole empire, me included, when you show total lack comprehending the current situation. God granted us what we sought!

Not to worry, the yanks will join us shortly in losing their freedom!

Yes, ultimately we have freedom in Christ. And He is our king.

I see I wasn't careful and character counting, or to be more accurate I didn't do it at all, so I should at least put up the URL for the article that I quoted from.

Of course, Mike, I know that she is Roman Catholic, there are more than enough of them already on the Supreme Court❗👎

He should have, if he really wanted to replace Ginsburg, he should have replaced her with a Jewish woman, or to be really fair about it pick Obama's last choice.

I was just pointing out he wasn't picking that person that would do him the most good during the election, and of course I'm rather happy about that that he didn't.

Today, Episcopal leaders have been working to change this legacy of complacency with racism and to stand against white supremacy. “We have to say now: That is who we have been. That is not who we want to be,” Spellers said. For Trump “to drag us back into that—into that identity—was incredibly hurtful. I actually think that was a lot of the anger that y

Egalitarianism – or equalitarianism – is a school of thought that prioritizes equality for all people. Egalitarian doctrines maintain that all humans are equal in fundamental worth or social status. Egalitarianism is a trend of thought in political philosophy.

Complementarianism is a theological view held by some in Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, that men and women have different but complementary roles and responsibilities in marriage, family life, religious leadership, and elsewhere. The word "complementary" and its cognates are currently used to denote this view.

Since the lady you are referring to is Barbara Lagoa, whom you named, you must certainly be aware she is also RC. So the only thing to conclude is, you disagree with Trump’s pick, not because she’s RC, but because Trump chose her. You’re easy to read, Jim. The implications you try to promote are to cause doubt, which increasingly you are unable to do. But keep trying, we need the entertainment.

“”speaking at the Blackstone Legal Fellowship, which they note desires to ingrain a "distinctly Christian worldview" in the hearts and minds of Christian law school students.“”

It is fascinating today how The Left is developing into Such a hardened “anti—Christian “ faction of western society.
In situations like this Supreme Court dispute we watch the various outlets of the Left rising in opposition to Christian standards and values.

These are days of battle between Left and Right which are obvious in their religious content and affiliations. The Left is clearly identified with Satan’s antichrist persuasions — whereas the opposite is true of the Right.
Of course man being in sin we cannot state that ALL ‘Right’ aspirations are in line with Orthodox Bible doctrine.

But we do have recourse to Eph. 6 — The spiritual battle in mankind and worked out in society. This warns us to wear the armour of God during our Christian struggles.

Well this woman is your typical pseudo conservative feminist. She is an avowed catholic so she should fit in well with all the other religious hypocrites in DC. She chose to be a part time mother and a part time wife.

This country and in fact the world is being cursed for violating God’s gender roles.

Isaiah 3:12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

Figures a lib like you would want to see a Supreme Court judge chosen on the basis of scoring points with a special interest group rather that on the basis of principle.

Jim, as usual, your racism is showing. Did you actually say “lily-white?” You should barred from the forum for at least three months, if not permanently, for using such a racist term.
And also as usual, your hypocrisy is on prominent display. “As Christians,” we shouldn’t support a woman for the Supreme Court—but it’s no problemo to root and holler for a female vice presidential candidate?

Yes, John of UK, your BBC had some interesting highlights of the so-called debate. It showed that Biden wasn't going to take any of Mr. Trump's lip if nothing else--they must have thought they were in the British Parliament.

Apparently the two men vying for the presidency have last night had the verbal equivalent of a fistfight. Little wonder I have no interest in politics when both leading politicians act like thugs.

Besides which, I believe in separation of church and state. We Christians have our own King, and his name is the Lord Jesus Christ.
