DOJ warns San Francisco’s mayor that 1-person limit on church attendance is unconstitutional
The Justice Department has warned San Francisco Mayor London Breed that the city’s limitations on indoor worship to one congregant at a time in response to the COVID-19 pandemic “is contrary to the Constitution and the nation’s best tradition of religious freedom.”

In response to the city's policy of only allowing one person at a time to enter houses of worship, the Justice Department said in its letter to Breed that the city could not limit places of worship to a single congregant while “allowing multiple patrons in other indoor settings including gyms, tattoo parlors, hair salons, massage studios, and daycares.”

The limitation is “draconian, out of step with the treatment afforded other similar indoor activities in San Francisco, wholly at odds with this Nation’s traditional understanding of religious liberty, and may violate the First Amendment to the Constitution,” wrote Assistant Attorney ...

A DOJ “warning” that’s it? DOJ needs to step up regarding church persecution.

Chris, if you really believe in the priesthood of all believers, you can have communion at home as many times as you wish. I tried it recently and found that three times a day focussed my attention most seriously upon the Lord Jesus Christ and his finished work, as well as his ongoing work and future work, which is what the communion is designed to remind us of. This was in addition to the every Monday communion I have at fellowship meeting.

Try it, brother, and be blessed.

I have not partaken in communion since March, and many churches have indefinitely suspended holy communion since March because of these conditions. Also banned at present, effectively because of the Rule of Six, and amplified by some of the local lockdowns is any kind of home bible study, and any social meeting whatsoever. Some churches are apparently just about managing to run a very socially distanced Sunday School if numbers are very low, but it is very, very difficult still to operate a church, and this unwarranted interference in church worship, life and ministry is quite oppressive.

I wouldn’t expect Mr Lincoln to be anything but conformist to the leftist globalist propaganda of “Project Fear”. The 1 person church rule in San Francisco is possibly the most extreme I have seen so far, and even here in Britain, congregational singing is banned,(solo singer or cantor, or now a small socially distanced choir only permitted), as are woodwind and brass instruments, baptism by immersion, (sprinkling baptisms allowed only in a private service under the “Rule of Six”, that is 6 people only, including the baptismal candidate but excluding the minister), communion, ( except that liturgical churches are allowed to dispense the bread only by a masked minister into the hand of the communicant one by one, who briefly remove heir mask, consume the bread, then replace their mask and go, for free churches the common cup is banned, and little cups must be disposable and taken away.

Chris GP well as the head of our own CDC pointed out face masks are probably more effective than vaccines will be in the foreseeable future, do you object to people having to wear those? social distancing, and a few other simple requirements should not be ignored. I don't believe mandatory vaccination has ever been done in this country. but then earlier only a few wacky groups like that Jehovah witnesses were against them anyway ❗👎 For further enlightenment on the topic at hand:

"Consider Richard Baxter, writing more than 350 years ago:

" Question 109: May we omit church-assemblies on the Lord’s day, if the magistrate forbid them?

" Answer: 1. It is one thing to forbid them for a time, upon some special cause, (as infection by pestilence, fire, war, etc.) and another to forbid them statedly or profanely.

" 2. It is one thing to omit them for a time, and another to do it ordinarily.

" 3. It is one thing to omit them in formal obedience to the law; and another thing to omit them in prudence, or for necessity, because we cannot keep them.

" 4. The assembly and the circumstances of the assembly must be distinguished.

" (1) If the magistrate for a greater good, (as the common safety,) forbid church-assemblies in a time of pestilence, assault of enemies, or fire, or the like necessity, it is a duty to obey him. 1. Because positive duties give place to those great natural duties which are their end: so Christ justified himself and his disciples’ violation of the external rest of the sabbath. ‘For the sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath.’ 2. Because affirmatives bind not ‘ad semper,’ and out-of-season duties become sins. 3. Because one Lord’s day or assembly is not to be preferred before many, which by the omission of that one are like to be obtained….”

Material taken from, "...a response to John MacArthur"

I have quoted some Baxter material before, but not in this length nor [I think!] from this source ❗👍

Dear Mr Lincoln, I have no doubt that you will be first in line for the no doubt to be made compulsory vaccine. It is very much the “Bill Gates” globalist vaccine and will in most cases, be made from cell lines from aborted (murdered) babies. Some of the vaccines, including the most popular one being pushed by federal and state governments in the USA, (Modesta, but probably others as well), include a DNA changing agent, which interferes (genetic modification), with our DNA which the Lord created us with. Also, it is very likely that the vaccine to come will include a permanent marking device, one being worked in is a dye with dissolvable needles, that leaves a sorcidlnink mark in the skin that can be scanned called “Luciferase”, (no joke!!). There is also the otential for an injectable identity chip to be included with the vaccine. Do you really want all this? Except for very elderly frail people, and people who already have major health problems, most people, a vast majority who get COVID 19 are either totally asymptomatic, or have minor symptoms. The political and medical establishment had whipped up so much fear, and joined in by the media, and lto cjdiws, restrictions and authoritarianism have made this so much worse.

Timothy, I don't want to go to church until there's an effective vaccine out, which we can all hope will be early next year at the latest.

1. I think it's one's Christian duty to pass along helpful information.

2. People who are so indifferent about the pandemic and the people who can be affected by it, means I am minding my business.

I haven't said anything in this series that a responsible person could really object to. I already said I thought it was a ludicrous number of people to allow-if they're going to allow it at all.

Abraham Lincoln said or, wrote:
I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts.

The city of San Francisco knows what their doing. This is the state that calls evil good and good evil. Their the same state that will purposely allow the no cut policy of the Southern California hills or let trillions of melted snow flow to the Pacific Ocean, as irrigation or reservoirs would impede the “spirit animals” of the water gods. Perhaps the fault line gods will honor their efforts and crack open the their beloved state and fumigate the air of with love and tolerance.

Jim, if you don’t want to go to church—and I can’t imagine any reason why you would, unless they were handing out free stuff—then don’t go. If I do want to go, and I do, I’d advise you to get out of the way and MYOB.

Indigestion is more likely. San Francisco church goers should carry bricks and torches when they go. That way they’ll be left alone, maybe even encouraged. Certainly no threats from their sick government.

Going to Church

Threat Level: 9

While some religious organizations are still offering online-only services, there have been some establishments that have decided to open. Before attending church, make sure your establishment is implementing the guidelines suggested by the CDC. Social distancing may be tough, especially in a large organization, but it's important to help stop the spread.

Religious organizations should remain "consistent with applicable federal and State laws and regulations," according to the CDC. If your church doesn't seem to be following these guidelines, you may want to skip Sunday service for a while....

It has very little to do of religious liberty, and a lot more with practicality. It is ludicrous to limit a church meeting to one person

W hile California is the home, or at least one of the homes, for peddlers of the Word,

2 Corinthians 2:17

For we are not, like so many, peddlers of God’s word, but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ. ---ESV

It takes more than one buyer to support some of these churches, and these buyers want air-conditioned comfort. Some of these churches should be looked at as daycare for adults❗
