Pelosi bashes Catholic Trump supporters
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday bashed Catholic supporters of President Trump ahead of his appearance at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast.

Speaking at an event hosted by the liberal nun activist Sister Simone Campbell, Pelosi expressed "dismay" that the NCPB invited Trump to deliver the keynote address at its annual event.

"What would Christ do? We always say that," Pelosi said. "Well, there's a big difference between what Christ would do and what they're honoring this morning."

When introducing Pelosi, Campbell said that her event, though taking place "in the shadow" of the NCPB, was intended to combat the "all-too-flawed, narrow, and politically opportunistic view of our faith" that the president's Catholic supporters take. Campbell, who has been investigated by the Vatican for her statements on abortion, also praised the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg for her work on ...

Brothers Frank and Adriel, amen and amen, and thank you.

Salvation of the sinner is a most amazing thing. A lot of things happen in conversion, which is why many preachers focus on the gospel message week in and week out.

Galatians 2:20 KJV
(20)  I am crucified with Christ...

This was Paul's testimony, and it happens to everyone that is born again. To understand what "I" means in this text is a great progress in the Christian faith.

Those who believe in baptism by immersion symbolise this dying with Christ by going down into the water, and the new life in Christ by rising up out of the water.

The spiritual reality of this biblical experience is the ending of something, and the beginning of something, such that the convert is a "new creature in Christ", clearly visible to those around them; maybe not immediately because they are a babe, but in time there will always be the evidence of God's grace in their life.

Especially, sin does no longer have dominion over them; they are free. They are free to serve the Lord, even with their faults and failings, which come from the flesh (not the inherited sinful nature).

Dr. Rugh wrote:
Godly sorrow will always bear the fruit of repentance. This sorrow over sin goes beyond mere regret over sin and the resulting consequences. The repentance godly sorrow produces results in a real and actual change of life, ceasing from sin, and turning from sin. Repentance from sin is in effect a change in thinking about sin and that change in thinking results in a change in conduct. The repentance from sin included in initial saving faith then continues ongoing as the believer lives in pursuit of holiness and spiritual growth.

Dr. Rugh has done an excellent sermon on repentance and why it is necessary for a Christian❗👍 There's certainly non-Christian repentance, but some haven't even reached that stage yet.

Repentance is not a work

Brother JohnUK

Isn't it wonderful that we were both saved solely through our calling and Christ sacrifice for us on the cross.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

I brought nothing with me to the cross except the understanding the "Holy Spirit" gave me. And now we try out best to obey Christ because He has given us born again spirits. Praise His holy name.

And when I "listened" to the gospel being explained to me, I have never considered the listening part to be a work.

We are on the same page brother.

So the leader of the world’s premier false religion, Pope Francis, mentioned the name of the world’s premier false martyr, George Floyd. Whoop-de-do. Did he mention the names of any of the police officers who have been shot in recent months? Of course not.

The QAnon theory has become increasingly popular and visible in recent months, in the United States and abroad. According to NBC, its Facebook groups boasted millions of members in early August. Even as some Republican leaders have condemned the theory, Trump has declined to disavow it....

By the way John of UK, my last message pointed out that repentance is a requirement to being saved ❗👍

Acts 20:19-21

19. serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears, and with trials which happened to me by the plots of the Jews; 20. how I didn’t shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, teaching you publicly and from house to house, 21. testifying both to Jews and to Greeks repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus.

The one thing Trump got right was stating he has never repented of sin...good thing. For repentance from sin is never included as a 'condition' to be saved. Every person alive on this earth right now is a sinner, even the elect. You don't stop sinning when God saves you, He does not take away the sin nature. What He does do is open the mind to the fact that you cannot be saved based on your foolish attempts at stopping something you have no ability to stop.
When your foundations are faulty, i.e., your 'gospel', then everything thereafter will be faulty as well.
Those who disagree like to trot out that 'antinomian' accusation, proving they themselves are void of understanding it is grace that saves, not grace plus what you think you do...antinomian means 'no law', so in essence those who accuse of this must then adhere to 'law' as a means of salvation. "For as many as are of works of the Law are under a curse, for it has been written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue all things having been written in the book of the Law, to do them." Galatians 3:10. Fleeing sin is NOT a condition for salvation.
There are several foundational things wrong with this statement. Someone else might like to point them out.

All the conservative Trump supporters should feel foolish right now, Trump nominates a stealth deep-stater for Supreme Court Justice. Pro-lockdown and pro-mandatory vaccination. I think the guy is clueless. His own daughter and son-in-law are Christ-haters, as well as that fool Netanyahu. America, and the world, is getting what she deserves. No way out of this one, folks. No one is getting away with anything. No one. Kiss your beloved 'America' goodbye.

Mark 1:14-15

14. Now after John had been taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, 15. and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”

Acts 26:20

but kept declaring both to those of Damascus first, and also at Jerusalem and then throughout all the region of Judea, and even to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds appropriate to repentance.

AP wrote:
Pope Francis called George Floyd by name, twice, and offered support to an American bishop who knelt in prayer during a Black Lives Matter protest.

... in a U.S. election year, the intensity and consistency of the Vatican’s reaction suggests that, from the pope on down, it is seeking to encourage anti-racism protesters while making a clear statement about where American Catholics should stand on President Trump’s bid for a second term in November.

Francis “wants to send a very clear message to these conservative Catholics here who are pro-Trumpers that, ‘Listen, this is just as much of an issue as abortion is,'” said Anthea Butler, a presidential visiting fellow at Yale Divinity School.

Butler, who is African American, said the Vatican is telling Catholics “to pay attention to the racism that is happening and the racism that is in your own church in America.”...

I didn’t read the article.

I don’t know what Trump said at the catholic prayer session, but if he gave them religious comfort in any way, then he will answer for that one day. There are over 70 million catholic voters and whoever wins the next election must cater to them.

Trump meets the name it claim it antinomian thoughts of some on this forum. In fact he is on record for saying he never has confessed any personal sin; just think about that.

I will vote for Trump over any democratic candidate, but I will not defend his religious viewpoints.

Pelosi does what every politician does, she uses dead religion in an attempt to make some twisted point. She seems to forget we have a right to vote for who we want, regardless of religious preferences. She is rotten to the core, part of the global reset agenda, and hates America. Look at her district, it is impoverished with homeless people living on the streets! She can't even take care of her own 'neck of the woods', she certainly isn't qualified to be the voice of reason in any matter. She goes to a hair salon, with NO MASK, gets her hair done, then has the audacity to blame the salon owner. Hypocrisy runs DEEP with the Dems....Of course she praises Ginsburg, the liberal judge who sided with anti God agendas like abortion and homosexual marriage. Birds of a feather....

Ms. Pelosi, "what would Christ do?" Well, just like he cast out the money exchangers from the temple, and drove out those that sold animals and what else. If Jesus were to go to Washington DC, he would cast out most of America's politicians. You included.
