India: Hindu extremists kill church planter, dump body in woods
A church planter in India’s Maharashtra state was brutally killed by Hindu extremists after suffering years of abuse for his Christian faith amid escalating religious intolerance and violence in the country.

Persecution watchdog International Christian Concern reports that on July 10, unknown Hindu extremists murdered Pastor Munsi Thado, 35, and left his body in the forest near Badpari village in the Godcharoli district of Maharashtra state.

The Hindus reportedly dragged the pastor from his home, ignoring his wife Rajini’s pleas for his life to be spared. ...

Linked up with The Quiet Christian‚Äôs comment, with regard to how people feel they have to ‚Äúappease‚ÄĚ their pagan deities who might be angry with them because some of their fellow villagers are no longer believing in or serving them, is the whole concept of ‚Äúkarma‚ÄĚ. If one offends the pagan deities, or one‚Äôs neighbours offend the pagan deities,(by not believing in them), it can be considered as ‚Äúgood karma‚ÄĚ to kill or beat up, or expel from the village, the people who are ‚Äúdishonouring‚ÄĚ the gods by no longer believing in them. Karma is what will happen to you in the next life, good or bad, as these folks believe in repeated reincarnation. Of course all this then shows up the lie perpetrated in the West, that Hinduism is a peaceful, gentle, vegetarian, meditative religion.

Good question, Brother Frank. I heard a missionary explain once that what drives a lot of these attacks are fear. If the whole village doesn't stay loyal to whatever idol, there is a lot of fear that bad things will start to happen. So if a handful come to saving faith in Christ, the whole village isn't loyal anymore. Those who left idolatry must be brought back or else. It's a sad situation.
Interesting brother, thanks! I have never studied hinduism. But, you might be right on. My guess is their gods are not gods of love.

Praise His holy name!

Philippians 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Well according to the internet, Hindus have up to 33 million gods. I wonder which one tells them to murder innocent loving people. Or perhaps they can pick and choose which one to serve on any particular day?

If this man was a Christian he is in heaven, so my prayer will be for his wife and children and those that looked to him for spiritual guidance. Amen.

The fall may be the root cause but it’s certainly not an excuse.
Romans 1:20.
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power

The reason why human beings (in this case religious people) can do such things (in this case imagining they serve God), is all down to The Fall, and the effects of the inherited sinful nature, which in them means death in spiritual things, and an inability to do anything other than commit sin, for all have sinned, and there are none that doeth good, no, not one. Faith in Jesus Christ, which would save them, is not possible in such persons, except by the grace of God bringing them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, by the means of regeneration, enlightenment, conviction and conversion, all of which is accomplished the Spirit of God, in his own time and in his own way, in whomever he chooses.
