Evangelical leaders denounce QAnon as ‘political cult,' ‘satanic movement’
Some Christian leaders, including a couple of prominent conservative evangelicals, have denounced the conspiracy theory movement gaining traction in conservative circles known as QAnon.
Created by an anonymous online figure in 2017, QAnon claims that President Donald Trump is in a war with a “Deep State” government, battling entities like elitist pedophile rings and satanism.
The conspiracy alleges that a Satan-worshipping "deep state" faction that includes A-list celebrities is working to defeat Trump and engage in child sex abuse....

From what I’ve seen, Q-anon doesn’t seem no more a political cult than republicans or democrats.
I’ve been learning (sometimes the hard way) that the proverbial “log in the eye” does get in the way how we view things & it’s removal does improve vision greatly.
As far as “some” evangelical leaders calling it a “cult”, some logging might be in order first(?).
The reason the truth can be so shocking, is because the lies are so prevalent.
Whether you like hearing it or not, there is darkness in high places, How much is debatable.
The deeds darkness commits can be shocking, because they’re unthinkable by most.

Qanon isn't the only political cult, if that's what it is. I wonder if "Evangelical leaders" have denounced BLM and Antifa for the same reason? Or even the Democrat Party, which is easily understood as moving into cult-like behavior? I would guess no, for the wishy-washy church still tries to please the culture more than challenge it.

Who needs conspiracy theories when you have Scripture predicting things to come that governments of men are already promoting? Global citizenry, churches leaving their first love, enchanted with culture and obedient to liars, one world inclusive religion, chaos and fear necessary to allow for a superhero antichrist to save the day. I thought this was about some new comic book movement. But now I think it has something to do with the New World Order (see your dollar bill, full of esoteric symbols like that incomplete pyramid, eyeball, and the words "Novo Ordo Seclorum")and the Trilateral Commission.
I am actually one who likes to read and contemplate conspiracy theories. But, IMO this one is so ludicrous that it doesn’t even rate a 1 on my possibility scale.
