Christians worshiping in Walmart
A church in Pennsylvania was able to "outsmart" its Democratic governor by holding its worship service, deemed "non-essential," in a Walmart, which is regarded as essential, reported Law Enforcement Today.

It happened in North Versailles, Pennsylvania, where worshipers met despite Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf's April order that individuals "should not gather in religious buildings or homes for services or celebrations until the stay-at-home order is lifted."

The church moved its worship service from its building to Walmart after police officers interrupted to disperse the congregation. Pastor Jerry Waldrop asked members to go directly to the store to continue their worship. ...

People worship every day at Walmart, Julia—men in Sporing Goods, and women in the Ladies’ Apparel department.

God is happy whenever man worships him, no matter where it is, no matter what clothes he has on. Maybe Americans have perpetuated the idea that you have to wear your Sunday Best and go to a place with seats aligned in rows, all facing towards one direction where one guy is selected to speak.
Jesus, when talking with the Woman at the Well, said that one day we will worship God in Spirit and in Truth. What did he mean by that?
Also, can you name all the cases where Jesus healed someone in a synagogue versus all the times he healed people when he was teaching in a house, or walking on the street in a crowd ('Touch the Hem of His Garment' song come to mind?).
Also remember that the apostles walked in towns they were sent to, and whoever touched the hem of their garments were also healed.

Hi JohnUk, so sorry to hear you are having problems with your throat and the pain involved. Prayers for God to heal with the medicine and knowledge of the doctors as they work with you.

By the way, John, I have had streptococcus in my throat so painful 😣 that I could hardly even talk, more or less eat or drink. A round of antibiotics and prayers did the trick. That was years ago and haven’t had it since, praise God. Didn’t know you were sick until today.

Thank you Dolores, for your care and concern, and encouraging words. I hope as we all pray for one another that good times will come.

I am especially encouraged by your own recovery from a pain which has to be experienced to be believed. The throat is incredibly complex, and in future I will never grumble if all I have to drink is water, I shall be so glad just to be able to swallow it down.

This day I have had a couple of glasses of milk, which were difficult to swallow, but I managed it, as I also managed to begin the antibiotic course in earnest.

Bro Michael said we ought to weep with those that weep. Now would be a good time, as I find it hard to rejoice when there is so much pain around the head area.

Carol, you are so right about getting old. One of his doctors said that,’ getting old is not for sissies’ 😉

Hi JohnUk, so sorry to hear you are having problems with your throat and the pain involved. Prayers for God to heal with the medicine and knowledge of the doctors as they work with you.
My son’s job is to put patients to sleep during surgery which involved wearing masks, now it’s all the time because of working with covid virus. It causes him to be irritated and raw in places around his nose which is painful but has to wear it nonetheless. So that is why I got so angry at these men that refused to follow the rules for just a few hours, when my son puts his life on the line every day. We stay home mostly but have to go to doctors.
Thanks,to all for the prayers for my husband. He’s beginning to feel better this morning. I am encouraged by some of the things said from those who have back pain and are understanding it. Prayers for y’all as well and God’s blessings and safe keeping.

Many thanks for prayers, those who mentioned it and those who didn't. I have started my seven-day medical schedule, and hope that the penicillin will break out and be victorious over the little rogues which have caused such disruption to my abundant life from Jesus.

One of the three medications I have to take is liquid paracetamol, but it seems too strong for me (the taste, that is). Has anyone else come up with that problem?

Dolores, will be praying for your husband. I know how debilitating lower back pain can be.

JohnUK, prayers for you as well.

Walmart shoppers, it's a good place to buy hand sanitizer from China, if you think it's the thing to do. But you won't find it labeled "Irony"

Hi Mike, could be right about that little ole lady but in my encounter, this guy was handed a mask by the receptionist as he signed in and he held it in his hand and carried with him to see the doctor (not mine either) a woman family dr. You are suppose to call in first and be told when to come in. He didn’t, just walked in elevator and we waited for another one. They said something about that to him as well. So narcissistic!!
Tim, you know, it’s so hard to love people like him and so tempting to hit them with a bowling ball or whatever is handy but my doctor is so right, now a days you might be putting your own life in danger to say or do anything.
Prayers for my husband, having lots of pain in his lower back area from arthritis or something. Thanks 😊
Hey Dolores, I saw my GP this am and she referred me to the Accident & Emergency at the hospital. When I got there, I signed in at reception and was given a free mask to wear, which I did so for the next few hours, which was no problem. You can tell your husband I have been suffering severe throat pain and unable to eat, drink or take tablets, or even sleep, the past several days.

But would you say the same about worshipping in a rented mosque?
What about in a cathedral with a false Mary statue staring down at you?
1 Corinthians 14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order.

This Pastor Waldrop is a political opportunist.

I'm not familiar with this pastor but you may be right about him.

I don't know why Christians would choose those venues he_yo, but if they did, a preacher would have ample visuals in which God's word would unravel with each syllable spoken.

This Pastor Waldrop is a political opportunist and is harmful to the Gospel.
He cares more about being persecuted for his prideful political statement than to defy the police that came into his church.
That should tell you something.
Let the real pastors defy the evil orders by preaching simply from their own pulpits.

Hi Tim, just read the same scripture during devotionals this morning and was comforted greatly.Thing is this man was younger and my husband is in bad health and could die and yet the man was belligerent and angry at me.
The next day on my iPhone a news flash came up on Fox News; elderly woman hits man with her cane because he wasn’t wearing a mask, looks like someone got belligerent with the wrong woman 😂
Hi Dolores, the lady likely thinks those made in China masks with "non-medical" printed on the box they came in actually do something medical.
