Trump’s personal attorney backs Pastor John MacArthur
Pastor John MacArthur is facing legal action after openly defying California’s restrictions on church gatherings. Now the embattled pastor is receiving special counsel from President Donald Trump’s personal attorney, Jenna Ellis, and religious freedom expert Charles LiMandri.

“I stand firm with Grace Community Church, its Elder Board, and Pastor MacArthur in biblical truth and the protections American churches are provided by our Constitution,” Ellis told The Christian Post. “I look forward to advocating on their behalf and hopefully encouraging other pastors and churches to also have the courage of Pastor MacArthur to stand firm that church is essential.”

The legal support comes as Grace Community Church received a cease and desist letter from the City of Los Angeles, threatening the church with a daily fine of $1,000 or arrest, if they continue to meet for indoor worship services. ...

I take your point Frank about the change of name of a woman when she married. However, oddly this does not carry out into all cultures. In Hispanic countries (I worked in Spain for 2 years). Everyone had two surnames, the 1st surname of their father followed by the 1st surname of their mother. In the next generation the children drop the 2nd name of their parents, but take the 1st surname of their father followed by the first surname of their mother!! So the surnames keep changing through the generations!!
Yes I was aware of how Hispanics do their married names. I understood that, but then thought it was irrelevant in our culture since she wasn't Hispanic. But your point is well taken - thanks.

I had no idea it was as complicated as you showed.

Frank, on your comment: I of all people do nottttt like feminism, but I do believe women have rights to have a job! The last name thing is weird, but not a sin. But why are we even talking ab this?
I'm sorry if you thought I was saying that a woman can't have a job. All I meant to say is God created women primarily to be wives and mothers; not part time wives and mothers.

The news article was about her and her view about a Christian matter. Since all the facts that I had led me to believe she was simply a conservative feminist; I posted something so others could decide if her opinion was worthwhile or not.

I wonder, is there actually other citizens as democrat, communist, trump hating, America hating as Jim is. Or do you just own a lot of media outlets and make fake polls.

Jim why are you even on SA? I know you down own it or the articles would be crazy. Please go find another app to pester people on. Or better yet, move to China.

Jenna is a happily married woman, she is married to David Rives, an American Author, Speaker, Researcher, musician, and TV Host. Jenna Ellis’s husband David Rives is also the founder of David Rives Ministries. The David Rives Ministries Formed in 2007, David Rives Ministries according to their website is founded upon and rooted in the scriptural mandate to go into all the world, proclaiming the Gospel and the truth of God’s love.

Ellis has been practicing law quite a long time. she has no doubt amassed a huge fortune with the bulk of her wealth coming from her professional law career. Despite her obvious riches, Ellis Rives prefers to lead a modest lifestyle.

The above are from the internet.

This woman doesn’t need money, so why is she working? How can this not conflict with her duties as a wife? She is also in her child bearing years. If the president tells her to do something and her husband disagrees, who gets their way?

I would opine that she is simply a conservative feminist. I remember Kelly Anne Conway saying she wasn’t a feminist because she didn’t hate men and she didn’t believe in abortion.

Why is her last name referred to as Ellis instead of Rives? Does our Lord and Savior make the rich and famous have different standards?

Maybe he should hire the Clintons’ legal team instead, Jim. After all, Bill and Hillary have been getting away with murder for decades.

The legal affairs of Donald Trump are interesting. For example,

I'm not quite sure that legal assistance from Trump would be beneficial to John MacArthur?
