More youth are dying of suicide, overdose than COVID-19 during pandemic: CDC director
Suicide and drug overdoses are killing more young people than COVID-19 as the two pre-existing epidemics have been exacerbated by the coronavirus pandemic, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield warns.
In an interview with the Buck Institute for Research on Aging earlier this month, Redfield laid out that suicide and drug overdose have claimed more young lives during the pandemic than COVID-19, a disease that has been attributed to thousands of deaths nationwide this year....
There has been a lot of talk about mental health during the pandemic shutdowns. I even heard a pastor recently state that following the news channels on TV was the real culprit...enough to drive anyone to need serious counseling.
I think Frank has an excellent point. Even Jim L said so.
There are other factors. Children are taught they are a cosmic mistake via evolution, just a step on the way to the next higher life form. And they are also taught that they are somehow guilty for being white or middle class. And they have to be a victim to be truly at the top of the social ladder. Sex is an expected activity. Brokenness is a part of their family life with mom in one house with another partner and dad in another house with the new mom.
Wow an artical showing a better perspective. https://youtu.be/bXsmRmN83VY This guy got fired because he was the last conservative voice in Sydney or Australia now you have to pay to LISTEN to him,and the abc msm leftys cheered. They said big buisness would no longer play ads on their platform.. mental health!!! More people dying of mental health.. People are all dying of other underlying causes!!! POISON!! PEACE and Grace on the Israel of God..ūüėö Blessed Lords Day to all.

I think I would agree with Frank's response about the article. I would suppose anything that would depress a person could be used as an excuse for suicide. I'm not sure the covid-19 is that big excuse for young people unless they know they are going to physically react badly to catching it
So I will admit I should have looked at the article a little more closely.
Young people ‚Äúnormally‚ÄĚ commit suicide because they find no purpose in this life and they don‚Äôt believe in an afterlife. It is the same reasons they become drug addicts. Drug usage leads to more drug usage and that leads often times to death. Many times I'm sure those deaths are referred to as suicide, but I believe most are not. Some are, most are not.
If the author of this article implies anything else, then I would disagree with him.
