National Security law is a 'threat to Christians' in Hong Kong
"In China, the Communist Party is demolishing churches, tearing down crosses and imprisoning human rights lawyers who defend religious freedom in the courts," he said.

"The fundamental issue for Christians in China – and in the days to come in Hong Kong – is who governs the church.

"In China, the atheist Communist Party demands total allegiance and exercises complete control over the church.

President Trump announced Tuesday that he had signed legislation sanctioning China for suppressing freedoms in Hong Kong, as well as an executive order ending U.S. preferential treatment for Hong Kong.

Mr. Trump said "we just lost a competitor" that "we incentivized to do a lot of business," referring to Hong Kong. He said that Hong Kong would now be "treated the same as mainland China."...

Residents rush to erase digital footprints as law gives police powers over online activity
Hong Kong is facing a dramatic decline of one of its most important advantages – a free and open internet – a defining trait that sets it apart from mainland China where Facebook, Twitter, Google and most major foreign news sites are blocked.

The prospect of Beijing-style internet controls – where residents are not just restricted but monitored and punished for what they post online while companies are forced to censor their platforms – is worrying for citizens, activists and businesses in Hong Kong....

excerpt from,"China's Great Firewall descends on Hong Kong internet users"

Hong Kong as a gateway for Christian activity for the Chinese will be closing a lot quicker then planned. the article pointed out that it may be several years before China can really get control of the internet. However, the Chinese government now have the law to allow them to do so.❗👎

China is just taking advatage of the attention given the Wuhan virus. They were losing ground in international opinion circles anyway, what with their heavy handedness, especially about Hong Kong. The virus was golden for them. They started back in December or January, dragging people out of their houses, opportunity to round up and lock down in-country dissidents, (for health reasons) bulldozing churches, now Hong Kong getting beat down. "National Security" don't you know. They aren't too worried about what the US will do in any case. We are preoccupied with dust masks, what should be allowed at church services(for health reasons) and skin color.

For all the efforts to divest from Israel - we’re in a strange world. To divest from China leads to a world wide pandemic- and there’s plenty more from where that came from.

Reuters wrote:
Books by prominent Hong Kong pro-democracy figures have become unavailable in the Chinese-ruled city's public libraries as they are being reviewed to see whether they violate a new national security law, a government department said.

Key points:

•Prominent democracy figure Joshua Wong says his books are being censored by authorities
•Beijing claims the Hong Kong national security law will only be used to target "troublemakers"
•Authorities have already begun arrests of anti-China protesters, charging one man with terrorism

excerpt from, "Hong Kong libraries see pro-democracy books removed after national security law introduced"

Christians no doubt will soon be targeted as troublemakers also.
