Report: China Is Brainwashing Our Kids & Arming Our Criminals
Thanks to a partnership between Confucius Institutes and the Asia Society, “more than 100 elementary, middle, and high schools located in 27 states and the District of Columbia” have launched “Confucius Classrooms” since 2009.

According to its website, the Asia Society’s mission is “preparing Asians and Americans for a shared future.” The organization was founded by the late John D. Rockefeller III of the globalist Rockefeller clan and has been praised by former communist Chinese president Hu Jintao.

The Asia Society notes that the Confucius classrooms program has been “established with the support of an Expert Advisory Committee” that includes Communist Party of China officials from the Chinese Embassy in Washington, D.C. and the Chinese Consulate General in New York. ...

Oh, sorry about that, Remo.

I'm not acquainted with any error in the 1689 Baptist confession concerning "Good Works". I forget now why I posted it, but it may have been to show the relationship between justification (which as you rightly say, God does for us when he calls us by his grace) and subsequent changes in lifestyle, which are wrought by the indwelling Spirit and submission to his word. All changes in the sinner are brought about by the grace of God, especially the motivation of the heart, the very centre of our being, and from where all proceeds.

Our visiting friend DKH does not seem to be thinking along those lines; rather he is making good works a requirement for salvation, thereby making salvation a progressive work rather than an instantaneous work, such as the thief crucified with Jesus who simply believed on Christ.

Anyway. John ill be up front I know well the Westminster Confession. And just like you confession a very good to a point.I am not a baptist. Not sure about yourself. Anyway upon reading a once through.I loved it and wow it even speaks about infants and special need people.Thats what i like about the Bible the elthics ..Seem ok so far. I love the first 2 parts seem stronger than the Westminster. Will check further and.look at the proof text as well. Will re read and re read. Sometimes my mind play tricks and read something thats not their.😂
Anyway will need more time to go through.

Brother, I didn't mean for you to read the entire confession.

Just the section "On Good Works".

That is, the good works which follow on from justification, and without which proves the justification was false, and the "faith" not a biblical faith.

But true faith, which brings true justification, produces good fruit, and every true Christian has all three.

However, if "good fruit" is included in the requirement for justification, it is adding to the work of Christ, and is proved a heresy.

As for the reformation. I think its very narrow minded to assume Reformed and Catholicism are the only ways to view the Bible.

DKH, you are imagining that everyone on here is a Reformed Sausage. They are not, there is a variety of different Christians here, some of whom do not have any interest in the Reformation except the fact that the pope was trumped.

So you are having to work people out, just as people are trying to work you out. The clearer you can be the simpler the process will be.

As for God's purpose in sending his Son, much scripture has been given you to show that Christ was sent to save sinners (and all that entails).

But if you fine tune it, you find that God did not "make salvation possible" for all sinners. This is an error. God secured a fixed amount of people to be his special treasure, a royal priesthood, and he redeemed these though his Son's blood shed at Calvary. So you could say that God's purpose was to reconcile to himself through Jesus Christ the elect of God, chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world.

Later......

I'm sorry to hear that about your ancestors DKH and what you said helps me understand better on your thoughts on the reformers. I appreciate you sharing something that is obviously very sensitive and understandably so. I saw Lurker made an offer to you earlier today. If I were you, I'd see what he had to say. You have nothing to lose by hearing him out. Take care.

John, we might not disagree as much as you may think. I agree with your statement here but the question is why did God send Jesus to rescue sinners?

If you look at the story of the Bible its clear to me. God chose to create man in a special way so God could have a relationship with Him. This ended with the fall. But God created a plan of redemption. Throughout the old testament you see that plan foretold. Then with Jesus' life, death and resurrection it was realized. God made a way of salvation for us people, not because we deserve it or worked for it, but because of Gods love and Grace. Its really an amazing story. God made salvation possible because He wanted to redeem that relationship He had with us, which was His original purpose. I hope that makes sense.

Morning John had another look paragraph 3 is a ripper stronger than W.c. para 5 .. sorry to say, reminds me of those naughty hymn writers . Could my zeal not respite know, could my tears FOR ever plow..or if the whole of nature mine.....thou must Save Thou Alone.

As to DHK. Be patient.  Under the guise of discernment Help him. If James Q is right misguided as he also said we all have been dupped at some time..pray for Him.Dhk.

Its to easy to be like Luther and the other guy he would not HAVE fellowship because of how to do the Lord supper. Too easy to say never return.  Who says this. Not Jesus even a Judas.

Remember Peter. Jesus prayed for him. Peter denied Him 3 times. Peter brought shame again with ceremonies with the Gosple. Jesus is long suffering.  We are to reconcile non believers and believers, restore such as one, help, yes rebuke when grave error, the bible is clear which these are. Sourse is King. Who! The Person Jesus. Even the how 1 preach christ in envy in.... Paul rejoiced in this because if one is truly saved they wont do after their works. Like Jesus said of the pharasees go back in their synagogue but not after their work. Foolishness of preaching. CROSS!

My morning read 1cor 15.9 used weakness for your advantage.

James, this is where discernment is required, lest we be found wasting time. I am like you, greatly in favour of assisting others who have been misguided (duped). It sure looks as though DKH has been misguided for quite some time, which is why he wishes to promote his errors here on SA, which is a mission field for cultists.

Think about it. On SA are a multitude of persons, all desirous of learning more and more from scripture, which is why over two million sermons have been uploaded onto the site. But DKH thinks he can improve upon that, by putting up his own sermons for free, on the threads. He wishes to teach, not debate. And contrary to what SA is all about, he rejects the Reformation and wants to tread it down, as if he is a good Catholic.

This is why discernment is needful. What is his motivation? Does he want to save us all from false doctrine? It's laughable really. Everyone has their own doctrine, and we want to save all the others from their false teaching. But the others want to save us from OUR false teaching.

If you want to know what Jesus’ mission was on this earth, then hear it from His own lips: “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). He said, “I am come that they might have life.” Not hard to comprehend, is it?

What prevents you from asking? You wrote "Salvation is about a relationship with Jesus" and I challenged you. But I'm also willing to show you what scripture has to say about salvation. This forum is a great place to learn from others but if you take the attitude that you've got it all figured out you're going to encounter resistance and even rebuke.

I went back in your history and remember that you are a young man (I have 4 grandchildren older) and clearly zealous about the things of God so I would prefer to be an encouragement to you. At your age it's alright to not have it all figured out. I've been studying the bible for years and am certain I'll never have it all figured out in this life. It's when we decide we have "arrived" that we stop learning.

So if you want another perspective on what the bible has to say about salvation, let me know and I'll send you an email.

DKH, have a look:

1 Timothy 1:15 KJV
(15)  This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

"That Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners - The great and unique doctrine of the gospel. He “came into the world.” He therefore had a previous existence. He came. He had, therefore, an object in coming. It makes his gospel more worthy of acceptation that he had an intention, a plan, a wish, in thus coming into the world. He came when he was under no necessity of coming; he came to save, not to destroy; to reveal mercy, not to denounce judgment; to save sinners - the poor, the lost, the wandering, not to condemn them; he came to restore them to the favor of God, to raise them up from their degradation, and to bring them to heaven." Barnes

I sincerely hope these words will bless you.

I’d love to link some great sources where this is clearly explained but if I do people will just attack and completely right off the sources or platform the sources where shared with so they don’t have to address the point I’m addressing. So I guess you’ll have to do your own studying on that topic. It’s been a good descussion and I hope no one is offended by what I said. And most of all I want to encourage all of you to obey Christ’s commandments because he bought you and he deserves your entire life. Have a good day!

Thank you Lurker for the very thoughtful and respectful reply. I totally agree with your comment on reverence of scripture. I think we also need to take the bible in context. So often people mostly ignore passages that dont flow with their theology.

On your note about Romans 13:11, I think your exactly right to point out the future tense of Salvation in that verse. This is also not the only place where Salvation in mentioned as future tense in NT. But, taking that verse in context with rest of Romans, it appears (based on Romans 1) that the Roman church had at least a measure of Faith.

I dont understand it all but there must be an at least an aspect of salvation that happens in the future. Im wont expound because im not studied on that topic.

As for Gods purpose. This is a very big subject and I cant explain it in whole here. But I think reading the Gospels it becomes clear that Jesus mission here on earth was not centered on getting people saved so they can go to heaven. He came to setup the Kingdom of God which is mentioned very frequently. Jesus was making disciples and telling his disciples to make disciples. Thats why Jesus said Obedience is so important. Christianity is about serving the King. Heaven is just a continuation for Christians after death.
