Less than 30% of US churches actively addressing racism
Less than 30% of American churches are actively engaged in addressing racism or racial inequality even though most pastors agree that churches should oppose the social ills, according to recent research from Barna.

Despite the ongoing social unrest over racial inequality and police brutality sparked by the killing of George Floyd while in the custody of Minneapolis police officers in May, only 29% of Protestant pastors from Barna’s pastor panel said their churches were either completely or mostly actively involved in addressing racism or racial inequality. Another 30% of the 2,350 Protestant senior pastors on the panel polled in online surveys from March 20 – June 15, said they were somewhat involved in addressing the issues at their church. ...

or all the energy being devoted to addressing racism in the white evangelical world, the aftermath of George Floyd’s death is not necessarily a turning point in how white evangelicals think about race, several Black leaders I spoke with argued. “About every four to five years, there’s a larger national-level racial conversation, and many churches will make some gesture at that,” Jao told me. “Then they don’t speak on it again, don’t notice the things that are happening locally or nationally, until the next major explosion.” One test of the effects of this summer’s protests is whether they will shift conversations about race and policing in conservative political circles. Nearly one-third of white people in the United States identify as evangelicals, and a strong majority of this group is Republican. White Christians are distinctively positioned to push politicians to take this issue seriously....

Treating Black church goers as human beings would at least be a start❗👍

Now handling the DACA question would be a good.

https://tinyurl.com/y9gtaqw6 (Ending DACA isn’t about the rule of law. It’s about race.

That is not the function of the Church. There commissioned to save the lost. If you do not know that, may I suggest. You read the Bible. Besides Christians do not differentiate between race, color, nor creed. End of story. Try Christianity for yourself and see, let The grace of God lead you......

This comment was not researched!

IMO,the racist claims that we are hearing about is simply a disguise for the following:

If you tell low income people they are victims and that the rich are taking advantage of them and depriving them of more, they will rebel. That has been the formula for socialism/communism. The middle income earners are actually the ones that will give up their livelihoods via taxation. The end result is any middle class is destroyed. Once that happens, then there are only the rich and the poor. And, the poor will simply get poorer.

If someone considers themselves to be victims, then they are easily manipulated.

I have heard that in the Dominican REpublic, the races are so mixed that their forms do not have the categories of 'white, black, Hispanic, etc" but instead grade you on your hair. Do you have good hair (straight) or bad hair (curly, hard to control). A friend in Miami told me that he worked at a bank office and learned all about the blacks of the Caribbean, like Trinidad, Barbados, their food styles (spicy hot!), and hair. The women in his office would send him out to the cafeteria to get a snack because, unlike them, his hair might get messed up by the wind, but he could easily comb it back into place.

Good point. There were also thousands taken to the Middle East as slaves. You won't find descendents there today though, because they didn't survive.

The churches that have preachers that preach and teach the bible address racism and many more issues of the day.

They should do a statistic on how many lives of all ethnic groups have been saved by policemen, but is a typical lying tactic of a communistic revolutionary movement aimed to destroy Western Civilization and Biblical Christianity. It will be to it's own ruin for a church to go down the apostate "social gospel" road which by the way, will be hand in hand with the Vatican.

Thank you, Brother Carl, for yet another solid post full of wisdom. While the world has no business directing the body of Christ, the clear teaching of the Bible is against such divisions. I often consider Revelation 7:9-17 which shows a mass of people from every ethnicity and language before the Throne. That's the pattern we are to conform to. We're going to be celebrating the Father and the Lamb for eternity together. That should start now.
Rev 9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

Yes, brother! What a glorious day that will be! Dress in the same attire, saying exactly the same thing with one voice, standing before our God and Father, and before our LORD and Savior.

This event is an answer to the question asked by the lost at His glorious appearance "For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand" (Rev 6:17). Only the saints are able to stand at the LORD's coming. We stand now!

So sorry, auto correct is a confounding mess. The Last days have been upon us since Jesus ascended to heaven. But we must always give an answer for our hope- our Blessed hope of his return. To live otherwise is to preach a different gospel- the woke church is a different gospel and most appropriately, evidence of one falling away.

Sin abounds in all mankind. The lady says have been upon us since Jesus ascended to heaven. But politics, wokeness, social gospel- no matter what Russell Moore or Al Mohler want us to shift our thinking- Jesus is returning. If more Christians had the candles lit or their oil ready , they’d be less inclined to wait outside the wall for something better to come along.

imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ?
John;
Its the question many have tried to answer over the years and centuries without providing a definitive solution.

Question: 'Can we mere mortals provide a definitive solution? - Or will it arrive like a thief in the night? When we least expect. 1Thes 5:2.

2Tim 3:1ff provides an interesting construction of the quote "Last days"
Described as perilous times which these times appear to be. Christians today are watching terrible developments such as the increase of sodomite abominations among the nations. Abortions the murder of innocent babies. Moral decline in the state AND the churches, (Liberalism - A form of 'godliness to stay away from. Verse 5)

Verses 2,3 and 4 list many of the sins we observe around us today. = "lovers of their own selves" - Vain and conceited - A good description of many in this generation.
"Blasphemers" - All the time today.
"Despisers of those that are good" - Sounds like an attack on Christians, which certainly is happening in the nations.
"Lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God" Which is definitely a modern trait in the nations today.

BUT - Do these verses mean "Imminent return?" I don't think so! The End is still at "nigh" stage!

Skin color isn’t the problem, or ones gender, or were one lives, but the sin that comes from within. That outterly defiles one is one problem; Jer 17:9!

As Critical Race Theory is a model birth in Marxism, that has zero power to transform ones spiritual heart of stone away, or wash away ones sin away.

O’ how precious it’s to tell others that Christ didn’t come for the righteous but He came to seek & save sinners, who are in dier need to taste & experience reconciliation in & through Christ Alone amen!

Important reminders to be light in darkness, to be gracious people who seek & hunger for Christ righteousness. To live in a holy manner. That I go alone but by the grace of God Alone. For without being fully dependent on His Grace Alone, Heaven has none!

Pro 14:34 Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people.
