CHOP gets chopped
Seattle police and the FBI began the work of dismantling the Capitol Hill Organized Protest zone early Wednesday morning after Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan issued an executive order calling for the immediate clearing of the occupied area after two teenagers were killed.

The mayor’s executive order comes a day after Horace Lorenzo Anderson, the father of one of the teenage shooting victims, demanded that the National Guard be brought in to tear down the zone. The zone and its surrounding area have been the scene of several reported burglaries, rapes and four shootings. ...

well said sister MS. Christopher doesn't seem to agree with confronting error, which is part of the problem of professing Christians.
Now, I wonder how today's legalists would view David, who murdered AND committed adultery? By their standards, he wasn't a man of God. Doesn't mean we have a 'right' to sin, antinomianism is the cry of those who don't understand grace. The elect don't lose their sin nature when saved, a great sermon on this is given by Gary Shepard-https://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=212171356247

I am reminded of James 2:10-For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.- the law wasn't given for us to keep, it was given to show us we CAN'T keep it. Only One kept the law perfectly...Christ the Lord. those who have ears to hear will understand.

Hi Chris, I agree with some of your comments.Where we disagree is that you stated that we need to solve mysteries, riddles, and puzzles to make sense of His overall plan of salvation...
I have not read any posts on here that would allude to you making such a remark.
That said, when an individual comes on here and muddles the Sovereign Grace Gospel of God, it needs to be addressed and dealt with.
Secondary issues are one thing, but the Gospel is to be defended and declared without compromise or any mixture of man and his filthy rags of works.
That’s what some of us were seeing with DKH posts, and were addressing.
Hope that clarifies it for you.

2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

A true story that I’ve noted in the past. I worked with this fellow who claimed he was a Christian. I found out he was shacking up with this lady and I asked him how he could do that and claim he was a Christian. He told me it didn’t matter what he did because he had been saved by the grace of God and all his sins were forgiven.

This is an example of antinomianism.

If you do not understand how you are saved, how can one say that person is saved?!? The delusion is great.

Remo wrote, “DKH is saved.” Now let’s get this straight. DKH makes statements that indicate that he doesn’t understand how to be saved, so I express doubts as to whether he is saved or not. You then ask, “ Who made you the judge?” But then you yourself pronounce the verdict that DKH definitely IS saved. Okay then, Sweet Pea, who made YOU the judge?

The 'bug' doesn't hate anybody. I disagree with John uk brand of legalistic double talk religion and his defense of false teachers like the Graham's, watchman nee and madame guyon. That doesn't mean I hate John personally. To state such is opinionated slander. The Lord have mercy on those who use such tactics. Happy 4th of July America!

Hi, Hope everyone's been doing well.

II Tim 2:15: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

A short study on this verse is interesting, but I posted it up to focus on Paul's instruction to study to show ourselves approved.

God made His plan and path to salvation, along with His instructions for Christian living, so crystal clear, that even children would be able to understand. Paul wasn't saying that the Christian needs to study, because God's words don't really mean what they say, at first glance, so we'll need to solve mysteries, riddles, and puzzles, to make sense of His overall plan of salvation, but simply, to always be ready with an answer; a correct answer, for our own selves, and our witness.

God Made His Word, on all matters of doctrine, and Christian living, so crystal clear, and with the purpose of mindful simplicity, so that any and all of sound mind, young or old, would be able to understand the clear basics. "Study" doesn't mean to do as the Gnostics; searching for non-existant secrets in-between already clearly defined lines, but simply to be ready, for our own selves, and others.

I just think that the basics get grossly over-complicated at times.

Amen Remo, the salvation of God is truly massive and momentous. It is no small thing. But it has become lopsided among many, where their emphasis is upon the justification, and any mention of the word "works" causes them to make a beeline for Galatians and thoughts of false prophets.

However, the whole point of Christianity is to rescue men who are sinners, and restore in them godliness of life in every avenue.

God rescues men from the consequences of their sin, which eternally is to perish in the lake of fire. God rescues men from the power of sin in their life, which means they live differently by the grace of God. And God rescues men from even the presence of sin, and for this they have to wait until either they die or the Lord Jesus returns.

Matthew 3:8 KJV
(8)  Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

Acts 26:20 KJV
(20)  But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

These two texts show that DKH is right to emphasise repentance meaning a change in the life. But let it be known that this is wrought in the sinner by God himself, because the sinner is unable of himself to so turn.

Good on you John. Well.said.. pity some others dont understand the guy.
Romans 8:1-6
[1]There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
[2]For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
[3]For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
[4]That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
[5]For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
[6]For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Luke 14:27-30
[27]And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
[28]For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
[29]Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
[30]Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish. Author and finisher Christ in you.

DKH wrote:
To be clear, I'm not trying to earn my salvation. Nor am I trying to work my way to Heaven.
I just love Jesus and He told me "if you love Me keep My commandments". Should I obey Jesus or not? Can't seem to get a straight answer.
Also, He told his followers to tell others to obey whatsoever He commanded them. Should I tell others that or not?
I've just been trying to do what Jesus wants me to do, not because I'm trying to work my way to heaven, but rather because Jesus has bought me with His blood and redeemed me and forgave my sins and I dont deserve it one bit. And because of that I am so SO grateful. I want to do whatever pleases Him most. And, you wont believe this, but He even said He would give His servants the power to do what He wants us to do!!! Isn't that amazing!
DKH, I am greatly encouraged by the words of this post, for you are saying that your works do not contribute anything towards reaching heaven; rather you work and serve Christ out of gratefulness to him for saving you by grace. This also is my testimony.

You ask, "Should I keep the law of Christ?" Yes. [John 14:15]

You ask, "Should I obey the commission of Jesus?" Yes. [Matthew 28:20]

Am I reading you right?

Dr. Tim wrote:
DKH, if you are unable to distinguish between passages dealing with salvation and those dealing with discipleship, I question whether you are saved at all. Discipleship is about obedience. Salvation is about grace apart from any personal righteousness of our own. Disciples of Christ should by all means be followers of Christ, but no one ever got saved by following Christ.
BTW, since your pride and/or fear won’t allow you to answer my question, I’ll answer it for you: No, you have not stopped sinning, and neither have I, and neither & 10.
Who made you judge! Ive asked for an answer from lady bug. About passages nothing..
We live in a day of the gosple of lawlessness.... Jesus is the king REPRESENT Him correctly.. DKH IS SAVED..Treat him as a brother. Or its you who errs for calling not saved how dare you. Faith in Christ. Walk with Him. If you love not your brother God will not love you. You can have all the FALSE cheap grace as you want...sola Scripture ..

Pharisees of today. The Pharisees thought they didnt have to do anything they had their forefathers. John the Baptist preached fruit. Naughty john you cannot preach fruit its anathema....All of Jesus!

bad eyes - good one sister MS. It's great to hear you are still standing firm, by His doing. The Lord's blessings to you and bad eyes
Here's another gem from Tim James for your edification- "I refuse to preach circumcision. I preach the cross. I preach the Gospel and men hate me. Men want to kill me." Why?
Because of what it says to you and what it says about you. These men held that the
salvation that required nothing from the one saved, took nothing from the one saved,
garnered and countenanced no works that could be recorded, no lives affected for good, no evidence of godliness, you mean a person like that can rest in peace in the Lord Jesus Christ who doesn't have anything to offer? That's the only person who can rest in Jesus Christ. That's the only person. They said, "If you preach that, it would open the floodgates of sin and would scandalize the very holiness of God." No, it doesn't, it honors God. It honors God for you to take your headquarters in the dust and claim nothing for your salvation save the person and work of his Son. That honors God. The minute you say," I'm going to do something for Jesus," you can forget honoring God, you're honoring you. You're honoring you." T. James

God gets very little use out of people who are so hyper focused on their own salvation.

Catholicism made a long formula for salvation.
The Reformers simplified this formula to Faith alone (James 2:24).

Lets just get rid of the formula altogether. Christianity is not primarily about our own salvation. And Im sad to see so many people care about nothing else. Salvation is just one of the many benefits of following (believing in) Christ.

Lets get back to what the Apostles and the early Christians practiced. Back to real Christianity that is focused on giving God glory. Read Acts for to know what I mean.
