Instagram brands Christian worship ‘harmful’
The headline to this article is not sensationalistic. It is not click bait. It is truth. Shocking truth. Yes, Instagram has designated videos of live worship on the streets to be in violation of community guidelines, calling the content “harmful.” Let the outrage be felt and heard.

Sean Feucht is a worship leader and songwriter who recently ran for political office in California. He is also a conservative Christian. On June 23 he tweeted, “This is what we’ve come to in America! Instagram is now classifying my WORSHIP videos as ‘harmful or false information.’ Religious Liberty? Freedom of Speech? Big Tech censorship?” ...

The first thing I had to do when I read this article was find out who or what "Instagram" was. I've never heard of it and never used it and don't particularly want to use it.

Apparently it is one of these modern phenomenon which the modern generation waste their time with like the so called "smart phones".

Progress today in technology is electronic gadgetry - or toys for adults. Some of the comments on this phenomenon has identified it with an intelligence dumb down.

One of the facts of life we Christians think about is the 'End of creation" - I can imagine that many of today's technology generation when the big conflagration arrives will dive for their 'god' - a smart phone to save it.

Meanwhile their "smart" attitude to their eternal soul is to ignore salvation and carry on playing with their toys.

Technology is of course limited by mans little brain, whereas eternal life is under God's omnipotent jurisdiction.

Mans progress in this world whether technology, science, knowledge or theology is limited to moving slowly and gradually to tomorrows conclusion.

With God however 'progress' is completely unnecessary. HE is already there. And always has been.

I think i'll stick with God! - Mans little demi-god is finite and always will be.

The fellow in question is a charismatic/Pentecostal. Only the Lord truly know those that belong to Him, but my only prayer is that the Lords saves this fellow. I don't want him to be heard by the lost. We can simply go by what we see and hear.

Charismatic/Pentecostals believe we can lose our salvation; women preachers and teachers are good; if they have enough faith they can order God around; and if someone hasn't been baptized in the Holy Spirit evidenced by speaking in tongues, then they cannot be leaders. In other words, they are second class Christians.

And of course there is more to the above list.

(TMC) The problem with many Social Media platforms is that they want to have their cake and eat it too. They claim to be a free speech platform, which exempts them from any journalistic legal consequences. Then they censor content claiming that they have editorial authority on their platforms!

Either your product is an edited publication (like the letters to the editor section) or it your product is an un-edited platform (like a public forum). You can’t be both!

One can ask those questions. The President has. On the other hand, Facebook is getting hammered in the markets right now for not limiting more speech on its private-property servers. What is the requirement to host speech on your property that you don't agree with? Does it matter depending on the expected use of the property or its size/reach? These are harder questions than they seem.

But the concept of a Christian song being labeled as harmful or false info? We are the stench of death to those who are dying, but the aroma of life to those granted life.

The solution - an online Christian ghetto allowing us to post what we want, owned by a Christian company. SA provides that to a certain extent. But we also need to consider that this world is not our home and we shouldn't expect a whole lot of help from our neighbors in worshipping and serving the Lord.
