Voddie Baucham: Social Justice Is Not the Same as Biblical Justice
“We have to understand that our knowledge comes from God, that God is the source of all knowledge,” Baucham said. “We understand that the Scriptures are sufficient. And we go to the Bible, to understand truth. And we look at the world — the way the world is… So as Christians, these are the ways that we seek for truth. Not through special individuals, who have special knowledge.”

Baucham explained how many social justice leaders today have “likened this movement, this sort of anti-racism movement, to a religion. Jim Wallace wrote a book, and the title of his book was, ‘America’s Original Sin.’ So, again, there are religious connotations there.” ...

You are quite right, I'm afraid, Brother Wayfarer. Like any cultural revolution, there will be blood in the streets and truth out the window. I talked with a deluded man today who is certain a French Revolution-style cataclysm is coming. All the masses of people's who have been held down are about to rise up and establish their own rule. He quoted the Constitution defined citizen responsibility to take charge if things go awry.
Because we belong to Christ and not some Marxist cause, we're not in a comfortable place. May we witness fearlessly and pray earnestly anyway.
Those held down French Revolution people, not having the sense to establish liberty as a required policy, rather than a mere slogan, ended up with Napoleon. It wasn't an improvement in their lot.

Jim;
GOD writes in the Bible -
Eccl 10:2 A wise man's heart is at his right hand; but a fool's heart at his left."

Don't you think you should cross over to the Christian right??

In the world the Left is a very dangerous place to be.

Shawn King is calling for all images of Jesus be torn down as it represented a white privileged religion. Ah , and ya’ll thought tearing down Robert E Lee and Ulysses S Grant was just a phase, The Bible is about to come up next.
This is from the devil and even poor old Jim would be put on a hit list as a white privileged liberal. DJT needs to make BLM a terrorist organization. Because the barking dogs of this revolution are as dangerous as the Weather underground or IRA or Baader - Meinhoff Gang, or Shining Path or Khmer Rouge.
Antifa is the cartoon, BLM is the muscle.

Brother Voddie is a soiled Brother of the Faith who is a defender of a Biblical Worldview. That ones restoration is found in being transformed by no King but Christ Alone!

Brother Voddie has a heart & love for n’t being ashamed of the gospel as one is either in Christ or one is still in the loins of the 1 ST Adam unregenerate!

Another good sermon is this, too.

I only used the word doubt because the internet article I read did. But, I should have said "didn't believe".

You and I aren't what they call politically correct.

The below are just some of the things Mr. King believed in.
Doubted the virgin birth
Doubted the resurrection
Doubted the deity of Christ and obviously the trinity
He was an unashamed serial adulterer.

Any questions?
What sort of morality the state should follow or adopt ?
Two options, their own or God's.

However, any society benefits from adhering to God's.

MLK commends Christians involving themselves in his civil rights protests. Sounds like the very thing you denounce, mixing religion and politics, for civil rights was very much a political issue that touched on inferences from Scripture.

As seen on other posts, you want *conservative* Christians to stay away from politics, not Modernists like MLK.

BTW I found no mention of "Communist influence."

Jim is on ignore.

Amen, Brother Carl! Dr. Baucham offers the solution -- faith in Jesus Christ which reconciles both vertically and horizontally -- but that doesn't fit the angst-mongers of the culture.

"What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander"

Through the years, it has been just as wrong for liberals to drag religion into politics as it is for the present day conservatives to do it-- but I assume that that will not stop either group from doing that.

Joseph D. Harder Ph.D. wrote:
...David L. Chappell has argued that one of the reasons for the success of the civil rights movement was the weakness of the theological arguments marshalled against it. Compared with the overwhelming support white clergy gave slavery before the Civil War, the opposition to civil rights during the 1950s and 1960s by white clergy appears limited and indecisive.

A small minority of evangelicals—like Frank Gaebelein, who among other things was an associate editor of Christianity Today—actively supported the civil rights movement....

I'm amazed at the ignorance here! Dr. Baucham is light years ahead of most concerning the current events going on in our culture. Bring up this link, listen, and thank the LORD He has raised this man up for such a time as this. The below link is about Cultural Marxism. The last link is about Racial Reconciliation.

Normally I cringe when I hear preachers allude to Gnosticism, which many carelessly attribute to ideas they don't like, but here, he may be onto something. I might label it "solipsism."
In a recent YouTube he discusses his experience working with "white" churches striving for racial reconciliation, while "black" churches consider him some sort of traitor for "fraternizing" like this. Depressing.
These people are just churchgoers and need to be converted. We need to stop rationalizing these matters. Faith without works is dead. What is it so hard about "believers" loving a brother in Christ? Well, these churchgoers are men of flesh. They need to be converted. It is impossible to be a separatist (from another follower of Christ) and a Christian. Impossible. Impossible. The only people we are to separate from are willful, unrepentant sinners, and the unruly. Reconciliation comes with conversion. Love God & your neighbor as yourself. But your unconverted neighbor cannot be closer than your fellow believer. Christians have beheld the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Churchgoers are blind and dead.
