Evangelist Franklin Graham Calls For Churches Across America to Pray For Peace During Protests
Evangelist Franklin Graham, the president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan's Purse, requests that churches pray for our nation during these dark days.

With nationwide protests erupting after the death of George Floyd, Graham is urging pastors to have a special time during their Sunday morning worship service where they pray for peace, perspective, patience, and an outpouring of His wisdom for the leaders handling this crisis.

You got that right, James. Speaking of protest, our governor Cuomo says protesters have the right to assemble and protest, and that's true, under the 1st amendment, if it's peaceable. Funny how much he opposes peaceable assembly of churches, and limits the numbers of those that will be allowed to do so, if safe distancing is practiced and masks are worn. Maybe it would go better for them if they jumped around elbow to elbow, shouted a lot, threw things, and set fires in their parking lots?
I wonder how the gov will discern between the rioters I mean protesters and Pentecostal churches in NY?

btw I'm glad to hear the surgery went well with your wife and pray for the healing process to be equally as good.

If the point of a protest is to bring attention to a matter, then we are far past that point already with this one as it has surpassed the pandemic of 2020 regarding attention.
What needs to happen is to allow our justice system to hold accountable those who are guilty and no further protesting is warranted.
The focus now needs to be on the pandemic of hate which has caused even more sensless bloodshed all in the name of "protest".

Amishchristian point is well made. Before we light another fire with self righteous pronouncements, we need to take stock in our own behavior and stay home. With that , I’m taking a break, God bless y’all- remember, we’re still in a pandemic and it’s about to blow up because evil isn’t happy with justice or safety.

F. Graham should be ashamed not to call Trump out on failure to unify our nation. If Trump is a Christian, shouldn't he test us what God requires since he flaunts God's word before the masses? To Trump. Tell us what the Bible says. Say something about the peace Jesus brings to all men who bow to him. The is an opportunity to lift up the LORD, the King of Kings. But no. Trump can't because he does not know him. He does not know God. God is not in his thoughts. He is blaspheming our God. May God have mercy on him & F. Graham who should encourage him to talk about Jesus. Instead he allows Trump to inflict more suffering on people. Does F.Graham understand scripture;the plan of God

;if Trump would humble 👋 Its witchcraft!
Is it necessary to tell us he's lawless, practices witchcraft, blind, inflicting suffering, failure to unify? This is the problem with the self-righteous. Your words have such healing power. Your words produce the humility that is lacking among so many of God's elect. Etc. Lack of introspection noted.

People, and especially Christians have so many answers. But they only need to look into their own lives to see how well their answers are working for them. How well are they getting along with their wife or husband or children. Are they divorced? Why? Do they get along with other people in church? Do they even go to church? Can they submit to another’s correction? What is their attitude toward their boss

Since Graham is a Trump supporter, he needs to tell Trump to stop practicing witchcraft before the nation. The Bible is not a talisman. This is truly blasphemous.
He is lawless. Graham is as blind as Trump if he cannot see this. God have mercy of both of them who do not understand the Bible and this warfare. Is Graham related to the Graham who changes his political position as frequently as Trump changes what he says?

This is is an opportunity to present the plan of salvation to all citizens;if Trump would only humble himself before the God of that Bible he's using as magic. Its witchcraft!

If “a sociologist at Clemson University” said something about Donald Trump, surely it must be the gospel truth. Sociology is an exact science, public universities NEVER hire liberals, and everything Jim Lincoln posts is rooted deeply in facts, never in opinions, so it would be useless to suggest that what was said may be incorrect. Wow, you really nailed it this time, Jim.

I am convinced that people will never solve all these problems. If that policeman had been a true Christian he would never have been in a job where force is used. If mr. Floyd had been a true Christian he would never have been committing any crimes. True Christians never oppress other people. True Christians are like Jesus who who would rather suffer wrong than do another person any harm. Jesus is our example no one else.

I never remembered saying Democrats were perfect Timothy, though for this year's election they're much more preferable to the Greedy Old Party❗👎

Andrew Whitehead, a sociologist at Clemson University who studies Christian nationalism, said the president’s appearance was an attempt to promote the idea of America as a distinctly Christian nation after his Rose Garden speech.

“Going to the church, not going in it, not meeting with any clergy, holding up a Bible, but not quoting any scripture, after an authoritarian speech, was about using the religious symbolism for his ends,” Whitehead said.

“It was a signal to the people that embrace the idea of a Christian nation, that he will defend Christianity in the public sphere,” Whitehead said. “He said he’ll make America safe. That raised the question, for whom? It’s largely for white, mostly Protestant America.”...

George Floyd was killed in a Democrat-controlled city. Almost all of the rioting has taken place in Democrat-controlled cities. If they vote at all, nearly one hundred percent of the rioters and looters vote Democrat. Jim’s solution? Elect another weak, morally corrupt goofball of a Democrat to be president. The nation is aflame with wickedness. The Democrats’ way to extinguish the fire is to douse it with gasoline. Another brilliant post, Jiminy Clickit.

Biden has tried to increase his visibility to portray a more empathetic and conciliatory approach to leadership.

"We are a nation in pain, but we must not allow this pain to destroy us," Biden wrote on Twitter and Facebook, alongside a picture of him on one knee, wearing a mask, speaking to a black man holding a child. "We are a nation enraged, but we cannot allow our rage to consume us. We are a nation exhausted, but we will not allow our exhaustion to defeat us."
"The only way to bear this pain is to turn all that anguish to purpose," Biden's post continued. "And as President, I will help lead this conversation — and more importantly, I will listen, just as I did today visiting the site of last night's protests in Wilmington."

Our mayor in Lincoln, Nebraska, got out and talk to the people, and it helped calm things down a lot. 👍
