Social Isolation Increases Risk Of Death From All Causes
Social isolation is a word on the tip of everyone’s tongues these days. Staying away from others during this pandemic is keeping us safe, but a new study finds that prolonged social isolation is also quite dangerous.

Researchers warn that socially isolated people are over 40% more likely to suffer a heart attack, stroke, or other major cardiovascular event. Moreover, the socially isolated are nearly 50% more likely to die from any cause.

There was also an observed relationship between lack of financial support and increased cardiovascular risk. ...

God uses trials for his own glory.

In some instances trial is sent to reveal the unregenerate nature in individuals, other times to manifest genuine salvation by the perseverance displayed.

For instance after trial unconverted people may rather seek after death than repentance, showing impenitent hearts as in Rev 9,

"... those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them, ... And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands ..."

In contrast believers prove true,

"Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."

Perhaps pastors needed a reality check, while their congregations glided in their ease.
Trial will purify both pastors and flock alike as already is happening. Some are bearing better fruit in the midst of it while others continue their slumber unto death.

This site has hundreds of broadcasters who more than likely represent churches and their people into the thousands if all added together    There are undoubtedly many of whom it can be said they are walking in the light because He is in the light and they have cleansed their hands and purified their hearts that they may drawn nigh unto God.  They’re not perfect but they walk in the fear of God and crucify the flesh with its lusts as they endeavor to walk in the Spirit.
It is easy to be negative and there is need for that as the Scriptures were not only given to edify but to reprove and correct.  Preachers are said to reprove and rebuke with all long-suffering.  Yet the body of Christ is built up a holy temple and the church is   “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:”   We all need to be balanced in our thinking, not ignoring the things from which we need to repent or bypassing the work of God that  is doing in molding us into His image for His glory.
Well summed up

Well the economic wizard Dr. Fauci forgot that the unintended consequences of telling everyone in the world to “ stay home, don’t go in for treatment, and if you’re having a stroke or heart attack, call call 911”) was interpreted as “ you’re on your own”. If you suffer from cancer, or you’re mentally ill, or dependent on others for your care, the CDC has brought destruction to many for the cause of lockdown and the suspension of the US constitution.
The cdc has never treated a patient, never ran a business or cared for a sick child or elderly parent! Good night, in the 1980’s, researchers for the CDC strongly recommended homosexuals stop having carnal relationships with other men. No discussion, just don’t do it. That recommendation was buried because of political decisions within the CDC that needed financial support. Same game played , only on a horrible scale.

Mike and John, you both make good points.

However, because of the rather low death rate, this 'pandemic' points rather to a man-made gimmick.

See, the wages of sin is death. So when God judges, he judges with that coin and in recognisable dimensions, directly as an eminent blow upon societies, families or individuals, or as the indirect result of famine, invasions, drought, or natural dissasters.

The modern financial crashes of the market following man-made devises of apparent 'happenings' should not be confused with God's purposeful design as he is not for extortion which is the mark of them. He judges righteously.

Passages as Rev. 13 aid for instance to figure out such differences.

The dragon (Satan) gives his power to the beast, a socio-political power with predator like characteristics of a leopard, a bear and a lion.
This beast excercices control upon society by the power of Satan, sorrow and hardship for people following.

Another clue to differentiate if it is of God's design is that of terror versus fear leading to repentance.
Judgement tends to repentance, testing to endurance

Unprofitable Servant, I thank you for your points.

Your first point shows that if we are in the endtimes, I ought not expect any repentance, because men will deny these traumas are from God.

Concerning the second point, you must always remember that I speak of my experience in the UK, and of which I have firsthand knowledge, which does appear to be mirrored elsewhere, as personal testimony picked up along the way appears to prove.

If you were to come to the UK and see for yourself, you would no doubt be amazed. And if I was to come to America to see for myself, I would no doubt be amazed at the presence of religion on every street corner.

I call people to the scriptures, if they wish to check out what is real Christianity, but nearly everyone prefers to stick to their brand name religion, taught by tradition of the elders, from generation to generation, with no-one ever thinking of checking up on it against scripture as the standard.

I've experienced this for years, and would love to see a change. But I really don't expect one, because traditions are so deeply embedded in minds. And very few love God enough to rock the boat and turf stuff out.

2. Either way, God is ignored, which is just the way it is in most all of the churches anyway.

1. Rev 9:20  And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
Rev 9:21  Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts

2. John it seems too often you paint all of Christianity with a rather broad brush that all have the attitude saying they are rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing, not knowing they are literally wretched, poor, miserable, and blind.   You seem to have the Elijah attitude that is found in I Kings 19:10 but may have forgotten about God’s answer in verse 18.  I personally reject that the vast number of the redeemed represent failed Christianity.

B. can answer for herself, but might I inject a thought? It's not for judgement. No judgement of God would have a survival rate of 99+%. Nor would it primarily take out us older types. No, I think it possibly is a warning shot over the bow of our pride. One of the prideful things could be His people looking to and trusting fallen men for answers and direction. Another possibility is to make people aware of how prone to and in some cases how willing they are to being deceived. The heart is deceitful and all that fits in nicely. Perhaps it's time for followers of the Lord to wake up and strengthen what strength they have? That's just a couple things God may be doing in this.
Bro Mike, it may still be for judgment, because once this pandemic calms down, the severe austerity will begin, and that will be far worse than the threat of covid19.

As for your other points, yes I agree. Despite having the examples of ancient Israel and God's dealings with them, we simply ignore all that and make exactly the same mistakes.

Northern Ireland with an estimated population of 1.886 million people accounts for 664 official deaths to Covid-19.

This gives a death rate of 0.035 %, say 3.5 deaths for every 10,000 people, of which number 23 % are suspected as having not been clearly tested positive neither presented a convincing correlation to the virus, but rather their declared death causes seem based on assumptions or presumptions.

Yet the population remains coherced by absolute fear, thanking in a broad chorus the NHS as their saviour with banners and flags.

Should it be wise to compare the figures above with the daily figures of those dying of vascular disease, heart attacks, and other causes including the so called 'natural' or age related deaths?

Perhaps perspective might help.

As believers we might boast of pursuing after absolute truth.

Yet, when considering facts outside the biblical realm, it is sad to observe how the majority of such believers, blinded by statism, dare not to search truth, relying entirely on a single source of information as the infalible bible of their secularism called the media.

Hence, they have rather retreated into their sanctum cocoon, never preoccupied to declare to the world the certainties or their hope in the midst of trial.

John of UK, it still doesn't hurt to have a cell phone or one of these services that you can communicate with Emergency Services so that you can get help when you fall down the stairs or something on that order.
