As West Cautiously Reopens, New Coronavirus Infection Clusters Emerge in Asia
While the U.S. and other Western countries continued to take steps to reopen their economies after months of coronavirus lockdowns, Asian countries that enacted aggressive measures early in the pandemic were battling new clusters of contagion.
More than 4.6 million cases of coronavirus have been recorded world-wide, including at least 313,127 deaths as of Sunday, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. The U.S. death toll accounts for more than a quarter of the global total.
Some U.S. states further eased restrictions over the weekend, giving businesses more freedom to operate....
We have just suffered the reasons why comprising your integrity will harm not just yourself but those around you. The WHO cow towed to China, and their world view. Truthfully, Between China and Russia, Iād keep my freezer stocked, plenty of bleach and toilet paper on hand, with those two blind thugs walking about, we might have an outbreak as a means of warfare.
The problem, Quiet Christian, really among many, is Mr. Trump does not believe what Harry Truman said when he was President, "The buck stops hereā" It seems that the buck stops everywhere else but Mr. Trump's desk, according to him.š

While a majority of both evangelicals and the population overall believe public health officials have gotten a lot right in their response, evangelicals are more confident in the Trump administrationās response and less confident in the media than non-evangelicals are, according to a Pew Research Center survey conducted last month and provided by the Roper Center.
Evangelicals were more divided over how the media has covered the pandemic, with 60 percent saying it was covered well and 40 percent saying it was not covered well. (Among the rest of the population, the split was closer to three-quarters and one-quarter, respectively....

Quote: "A candidate vaccine for Covid-19 developed by the drug maker Moderna appears to generate an immune response similar to the response seen in people who have been infected by the virus and recovered, the company said Monday.
In a Phase 1 trial, eight patients who received two doses of the vaccine at the lowest and middle doses tested ā 25 and 100 micrograms ā developed neutralizing antibodies to the virus at levels similar to people who had recovered from infection, the company said in a statement.""
I believe the President issued an ultimatum to the WHO to either conduct an independent investigation into the virus or lose US finding permanently. I understand part of that effort included to move the WHO away from Chinese influence. That doesn't sound like praise for the Chinese, Jim.
Mike made an excellent point about Taiwan.
Isaiah 59 applies again. Jim, you cannot wrap yourself in arguments of spider webs and feed us poisonous notions and think it's truth. Truth lies dead from all these assaults. We don't know who is telling the truth but we sure know who isn't. And Justice is afar off, hiding, with rights trampled under the jackboot of the government for our own protection.
Taiwan reported to the WHO in December of its concerns about nature of the disease. WHO ignored them to pacify China. On Jan 24, WHO says there is no evidence of human to human infection. China pacified again.
I didn't praise China as lavishly As Trump didāš
"15 times Trump praised China as coronavirus was spreading across the globe
"The president has lambasted the WHO for accepting Beijingās assurances about the outbreak, but he repeated them, as well."
It was Australia that led the way on criticizing China.

Mr Xi did not indicate whether China would vote for a joint resolution by Australia and other countries calling for an independent inquiry into the origins of the coronavirus pandemic....

it seems like Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Taiwan Etc had just the same amount of time as United States to react to this virus and they reacted quicklyāš
Jim Lincoln wrote: Rubbish, Mike, thinking that population alone has something to do with it. China has a lot bigger population in United States and had a lot better control over the results and controlling the virus. There may have been several things that could have been done to control the spread other than what China did, but doing nothing from the highest levels of government has been shown to be completely irresponsible.
Vague as usual, finger pointing, praising the barbarian China response while failing to remember they gave the world this disease. Well done, Jim.

Yes, Australia has had some flare-ups also, but nothing like the United States because they did have a successful lockdown.
