Pope Francis pushes for universal basic income
Pope Francis said in an Easter letter to members of various social movements that the crisis caused by the coronavirus could be a time to consider a universal basic income.

Pointing to "street vendors, recyclers, carnies, small farmers, construction workers, dressmakers, the different kinds of caregivers" who have "no steady income," Francis said that a universal basic income should be considered.

Starting point for RCC economics (I thank Trinity Foundation for pointing this out):
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_destination_of_goods

"You are not making a gift of what is yours to the poor man, but you are giving him back what is his. You have been appropriating things that are meant to be for the common use of everyone. The earth belongs to everyone, not to the rich."

Which except for air, is manifest nonsense. They may claim they endorse private property, but one cannot truly possess something that "belongs" to everyone as a first principle.
The RCC Antichrist is finally showing her true colors after centuries of double talk, such as in Rerum Novarum.

Is Pope Francis a Richard Nixon fan❗
Nathan Heller wrote:
....
Speenhamland does offer a lesson, in other words, but it is not the one most widely taught. In “The Failed Welfare Revolution” (2008), the sociologist Brian Steensland suggests that, if Nixon’s Family Assistance Plan had passed, conservative policy might have evolved along a different path. George H. W. Bush, then a congressman, supported the guaranteed-income scheme. So did Donald Rumsfeld. From the late sixties into the seventies, he and Dick Cheney helped run trials on thirteen hundred families to see how much a modest financial top-up discouraged them from working. The falloff was smaller than expected, and the researchers were pleased. We might hope that, with Speenhamland’s false myths finally cleared, the United States will do better going forward. But our aptitude for managing the future is no stronger than our skill at making sense out of the past.

The papal antichrist is on the far left where communism, socialism and Liberalism exists.

Christ places the goats on the Left - And HIS followers on the right. Prophetic.

Thus Francis reveals himself and the Vatican to be on the Left and in opposition to Christ.

The reprobates make their decisions based on ignorance and get it wrong again.

Eph 4:17 .... walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, 18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: 19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness."

Behold the antichrist hath spoken.

"...puts an end to the idolatry of money and places human life and dignity at the center," Francis said. "Our civilization — so competitive, so individualistic, with its frenetic rhythms of production and consumption, its extravagant luxuries, its disproportionate profits for just a few — needs to downshift, take stock, and renew itself."

Once upon a time, the pope was seen as an ardent opposer of Marxism. Today, the pope is seen as an ardent supporter of Marxism. You'd hope they'd get it straight which they want to support, but having left the truth to follow after their own imaginations centuries ago, even this is hardly surprising.
