Police Raid Church’s Drive-In Service, Issue $500 Tickets to Entire Congregation
Police in Greenville, Mississippi raided the parking lot of Temple Baptist Church during a drive-in prayer service and issued $500 fines to everyone in attendance – including many elderly congregants.

“One of the police officers said the mayor wanted to make an example of our church,” the pastor said. “I told them to get some more tickets ready because we will be preaching Sunday morning and Sunday night.”

The City of Greenville put in place an Executive Order that orders all church buildings closed for in person and drive in church services, until the State of Mississippi’s Shelter In Place Executive Order No. 1466 is lifted by Governor Tate Reeves. Churches are strongly encouraged to hold services via Facebook Live, Zoom, Free Conference Call, and any and all other social media, streaming, and telephonic platforms,” the order read. ...

If you wish to hear recorded sermons of the church I mentioned you can go into their website www.bethelbaptistlondon.com. The pastor is Alex Madeley, from South Africa, and his predecessor was Pastor Jack Moorman, an American who is now retired and in a nursing home.

Services are at 11.00 am and 6.00 pm British time, and they have a prayer meeting and Bible study on Thursdays at 7.30 pm.

This wasn’t a classic livestream, but using a business video conferencing software, by invitation from either the pastor, or one of the church members. Sadly, this pastor and church is not a member of Sermon Audio, and until now sermons have been recorded for download from their own website.

At least I was able to tune into a lovely, and slightly interactive IFB service today, from south London, led by the pastor, who was with his family in the church, (he also plays the piano), and people from the church in their homes, but there was also one person listening in in West Africa, a couple in North Wales, another couple in Northern Ireland, and some people from a rural county in southern England, and a couple of pastors from other small churches tuning in.

It was a lovely blessing, and good to hear a very scriptural and Christ centred Biblical sermon.

Well I’m surprised Sheriff Bull Turner didn’t sit up in his grave and turn around. Is this mayor not wise enough to think that a ticket for poor people might be as dangerous as a dog and fire hose.

Much evil is being done in the name of the public good. Dictatorial mayors and governors are at least being revealed. Remember them at election time.

The Anglicans and Catholics gave up on churches being opened even before lockdown restrictions came in.
Then the diocese of London has only just now, in time for Resurrection Day, now said that churches cannot livestream services from the church building, but only from a private home, as the liberal bishop presumably doesn’t want people to even think of going to the locked church building.
Other denominations followed, but most evangelical churches only closed down when the government order came out on Monday 23rd March.
In Britain, we don’t have the concept of drive-in services, and they would definitely be illegal here under the lockdown rules if any one attempted it.
Not everyone has internet, older and disabled folk are now effectively cut off.
Meanwhile the modern clinical equivalent of the Canaanite temples of Baal, Ashtoreth, Chemosh and Moloch are all open for business, or one can even get the chemical home version of this wicked modern amoral “sacrament” to murder a baby in the womb, when holy communion and baptisms may not be celebrated. How perverse!!

So that’s why drive in’s, ball parks and parking lots have become churches in the Panhandle of Texas. And I just thought it was to keep the Baptist’s and church of Christ from mischief.

CCP Virus is revealing a lot of things, like how our elected officials true colors are emerging. We increasingly see more (but not all) public servants hostility towards Christianity, how you say?

Specific aggressive targeting of Christian Church’s & there parishioners. With the virus being their thinly vailed excuse?

I say let’s show them the love of Christ, by our words & deeds. Let’s love & pray relentlessly for them!

By seeing who the real author of their actions are; the world, the flesh and the devil!

But we have; the Father, the Son & the Holy Spirit ✝️
