Smoking marijuana could make the lungs more susceptible to COVID-19
Some studies and anecdotal reports suggest marijuana can help people cope with anxiety, which is being felt deeply across the world as the coronavirus pandemic continues.
But lung health experts warn that smoking marijuana regularly could increase a person's risk of contracting COVID-19, and also having more severe symptoms and complications from the disease, given evidence on tobacco and COVID-19, and what we already know about how heavy marijuana-smoking can impact the lungs.

There is substantial scientific literature showing that smoking inflames the lungs and suppresses immune function. “For regular smoking, we know it inhibits the ciliary clearance of the airways,” Pirzada says. “We have these little [hairlike] structures known as cilia, and they are responsible for taking the toxins and the mucus out of our airways and clearing the lungs when we cough. We know that that is affected when you smoke and when you vape.”...

From Chinese studies, it appears QC, that smokers are targeted somewhat!
Oh, I'm sure even our former president inhaled, Frank!
I doubt the Lord has targeted those who smoke or vape with this pestilence as it seems to be more generalized. But He could be targeting them in a secondary manner. Colorado and other states like it should take immediate warning and prepare for disaster.

I don’t have a clue, but you could easily be correct. I have only smoked marijuana once and it was while I was drinking heavily, so all I did was vomit. They had marijuana when I was a kid, but I never met anyone that smoked it. When I arrived in VN, I remember little kids coming up to us trying to sell it. I had a top secret clearance and if I had done it, I would have been transferred to an infantry unit – no way.
I remember meeting infantry folks who said they used it when they were in the field. They said it removed any anxiety while maintaining their alertness???
Anyway, I am against the usage of it, but do not understand the complications. One internet article said that up to 55 million Americans use it.
But maybe they are like Bill Clinton, who lit them up, put them in his mouth, but didn't inhale.
I still work with idiots. When lamenting the hazards of smoking marijuana, I get the lame, addiction speak.. “ it doesn’t affect me, I don’t have emotional outbursts, I can to concentrate ( “ have you seen my keys? “ You got them in your hands “- the people I work with are addicted to marijuana and that addiction makes them belligerent, forgetful , lazy and abusive . Now, with Wuhan SARS, they’re at a high risk. Stop justifying your stupidity.
