An Indigenous elder says he has been unable to make traditional weapons or instruments for months because the drought is causing the wood he uses to crack....

Key points:

Rainfall in this part of central Queensland has been so low that its trees have become too dry for Indigenous craftsmen

The drought has also impacted a huge range of traditional foods and medicines, with trees and animals feeling the dry

While recent rain has not broken the drought, there's hope it will at least help revive local flora and fauna....

The international and corporate pressure for climate action is growing too. Around 80 countries have so far adopted the target of net-zero emissions by 2050.

Britain's Tory Prime Minister Boris Johnson is leading the charge and wants the rest of the world to sign up at the Glasgow climate summit he will host in November.

All Australian states and territories are on board.

The Business Council of Australia backs the target, as do some of Australia's biggest companies from BHP to Telstra, Wesfarmers and AGL.

And let's not forget the scientists....
