Jesus 'Found Me in My Dirt and Pulled Me Out,' Justin Bieber Says
Singer Justin Bieber in a new interview credits his Christian faith for saving him from self-destruction, saying he’s “grateful” to have friends in his life who live for Jesus.

“I was just living in this shame, living in all this sort of stuff in my past and I wasn't able to move on,” he said. “... [Now] the way I look at my relationship with God and with Jesus is I'm not trying to earn God's love by doing good things. God has already loved me for who I am, before I did anything to earn and deserve it. It's a free gift by accepting Jesus and just giving your life to Him.

“And what He did is the gift – the forgiveness is the thing that we look at and, you know, ‘I'm going to worship You, God, because You gave me something so good.’ And so you live that life of like, ‘I don't want to cheat on my wife, not because it's the right thing to do but because I don't want to hurt her.’ See the difference ...

It's catching on, religion makes more money or new money. I was courious. I took a glimpse of a recent interview by a very secular TV network. Jb looks very much the lost soul that he is. Looks very unhappy n empty. But as long as he is still alive there is hope for him. Prayers that the Lord will cross his path with someone with the truth of the gospel.

You are right about the media influence in our world today and kids are even more influenced by the music they listen to and since you we have no clue where he is at with God (only God knows that) at least he is using his influence to speak about my Lord and Savior, I give him 👍🏻and prayers for his journey ahead because Satan will try to destroy that witness by destroying him.

I was going to comment on the value of all these celebrities involvement with religion, wondering what special weight do they have to comment on anything. For the most part, acting is a lot of memorizing, and there is some creativity in 'pretending' to be something you are not. How do those skills transfer to religion or politics to give them a platform to speak on?
It is sad that much of our society is driven by the need to keep up on what Celebrity A said about something, or wore, or ate. Some might say that President Trump was elected because he had this celebrity recognition, while many other fine people were passed over. Well, that's the way it is in today's world, driven by clicks and smartphones, images and videos.
But when I read the Tx comment about what a teen was listening to, it made me think of what a friend pointed out...the most recent book by comic strip "Dilbert" author, called "Loserthink" has a section about the importance of what you fill your mind with. For a secular guy like that to write pages on what our Bible teaches, that we should have the 'mind of Christ' (see Phillipians 2, 1 Corinthians 2) it really is amazing. And he is not alone among secular people noticing this effect.

I am thankful that he is a witness especially to young people about his salvation experience. I remember what my son as a teenager used to listen to and what turmoil it brought to him and our family. Guns n’.Roses. being one. So kudos to Justin Bieber and prayers for the continued growth of his Christian life.

Certainly sounds like a baby Christian. I was young and said a prayer and hummed along, but clearly did not understand that Jesus took my sins upon him , in my place, to the cross. Until, I was untterly crushed by my sins and had to preach the gospel to myself, every day. Still do. Hope Bieber does the same.

Amen, Stevenr. After the Lord led me to Himself, I didn't square away overnight. It took a while. Dare I say that I'm still a work in progress? That's the truth!

Hopefully that is the same situation for this man. What's most important is that he came in thru the straight gate to the narrow way, not how far he is as a pilgrim.

When did he become a Christian as he said? There’s no mention of repentance for one. There’s nothing different about his life. The Bible’s definition of a Christian.

Well, just remember—even a believer can act stupid at times. Paul said
“For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:15-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I’ve even read ludicrous statements from some of the “believers” on this site—not trying to be mean or rude, (that comes naturally I do not have to try...) but some of them out of Nebraska.
I have no idea if he is truly a Christian, but I’m not going to shoot arrows at someone who obviously hasn’t been saved long enough to know better. I’ll save it for those of you who should.
Just saying.
