Limbaugh: A Genius at Radio
He certainly did not capture new listeners by adjusting to the times. While tastes changed and the issues often metamorphosed, he did not. He remained conservative, commonsensical, and skeptical of Washington and those in it, as if he knew all the predictable thousand faces of the timeless progressive project, whose various manifestations reappear to mask a single ancient and predictable essence: the desire of a self-appointed group of elites to expand government in order to regiment the lives of ordinary people, allegedly to achieve greater mandated equality and social justice but more often to satisfy their own narcissistic will to power. It was Limbaugh who most prominently warned that lax immigration enforcement would soon lead to open calls for open borders, that worry about “global warming” would transform into calls to ban the internal combustion engine, and that the logical end of federal ...

I think no one reads the printed copy of the National Review, and RL has made many comments making fun of them over the years.
A key to understanding modern media is how the internet changed things, and not just making 'reading the paper' an exercise that only grandparents do. News media can now tell from sophisticated software programs how many 'clicks' a news story will get, so they know what appeals, and know it very fast.
Thus it was that the 'Religion' page that used to appear in your local newspaper on Fridays or Saturdays has disappeared. No one is looking for that info in the newspaper when they can use online mapping tools and church websites to find out info directly.
And newspaper websites focus on those 'hot' stories that get lots of clicks so they can sell advertising.
Not only news media, but all sorts of info providers on the internet know this. It's why a certain medical info website that starts with "web" and ends with the 2 letters that start the name of a famous kosher wine that ends with 20/20 (due to its high alcohol content), will give you lots of quizzes and slide shows on any issue instead of telling you in 2 or 3 pages what you needed to know.

The hypocrisy that comes from Lincoln, you know Jim, never had any issues with this.

When the Racist Al Sharpton made repeated trips, to visit the Obamas in 2014! As he had 4:5 million dollars in unpaid taxes!

Socialist Liberals don’t care about Truth, as Truth is only relative to them. As their sinking ship of a Worldview, is liken to the Titanic!

As Jim, is so worried about Skin color, than worrying about truth & how does my Sin, anger a Just loving good God. Who willint turn a blinded eye, to His Justice & Holiness, as all hypocrites & liars will take account for surepressing in acts of unrighteousness amen!

It’s more likely that the reason you didn’t make it through the program is ignorance, not education, Jim. You actually need some understanding of America’s history and the constitution to know what Rush is saying. Liberals have neither.

No one whined when Obama gave out more Presidential Medals of Freedom than any other president, Jim. Or when he gave them to Tom Hanks, Robert De Niro, Ellen DeGeneris, Michael Jordan, Bruce Springsteen, etc. Now there's some that have contributed to the nation, and deserve the nation's highest civilian honor, don't you think?

Well, I tried to listen to Mr. Limbaugh's inanities many years ago, I don't think I could make it through the entire program because I'm too well educated.

Apparently other people don't care for him either? (What’s next — giving the Presidential Medal of Freedom to ...)

This Washington Post opinion piece is not very friendly to Rush Limbaugh.
