Nigerian governor: Over one hundred thousand orphans and widows created by Boko Haram
A Nigerian professor-turned-politician claimed last week that Boko Haram has created nearly 120,000 orphans and widows since it began its onslaught against Christians in the West African nation.
Babagana Umara Zulum, now the governor of Borno state, spoke at the National Defense College in Abuja last week to present his paper "Strategic Leadership: The Challenges of Insurgency in Borno State" and comment on the government's response to the Boko Haram crisis that has killed thousands of Christians....
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the assaults of the devil. KJV translates this more beautifully but I can't help but wonder if James VI was opposed to this wording and preferred something less obvious about the power behind "worldly governors" which hit a little too close to home.
But either way we do stand against the wiles and assaults of the devil. But our weapons are not of this world either.
Our leaders keep saying that we are not at war with Islam. I am. I‚Äôm at war with Islam and with every other false religion, including secular humanism. Any professing Christian who is not at war against the forces of evil is a coward and a traitor.
Most of the slain men are Christians. More 21st century saints have died in Africa than any other continent. Their slayers are financed by oil rich nations such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and United Arab Emirates.
