Brother, thanks for the information you share. And what can we say? Absolutely, that there is a God in heaven who orders seasons, and changes times by his great skill, using whom he wishes. So we pray and trust that in his good will this new stage may be for the turning of this nation to himself.
O God, our help in ages past, Our hope for years to come, Our shelter from the stormy blast, And our eternal home:
Under the shadow of thy throne, Thy saints have dwelt secure; Sufficient is thine arm alone, And our defense is sure.
Before the hills in order stood, Or earth received her frame, From everlasting thou art God, To endless years the same.

Since then, I became increasingly alarmed at the undemocratic and dictatorial nature of this entity, even though in some ways in my earlier days, I had benefited from the freedom of travel and work provisions, (I taught English in 2 European countries, and did some European travelling). Despite this, I have increasingly felt that this body is extremely dangerous, and imposing its will on sovereign nation states. I longed for the opportunity to vote again in a referendum to reverse the ill informed vote I made in 1975, and was absolutely amazed, when our very poor Prime Minister at the time in 2016, David Cameron, (followed by an even more disastrous one, Teresa May, who lost her majority in an ill advised election), actually gave us one!!!
The media, the leftists, the globalists, and those in power did everything possible to obstruct this, and whether it was shenanigans in Parliament, a biased speaker, Project Fear predictions of doom and collapse if we left the EU, the BBC and other media giving biased reports, and sharp criticism of Brexiteers and calumny against them, it was hard going.
The pro-EU people even sent out huge demos in London calling for a second referendum, which of course would have been suitably rigged,(this had already been done successfully in place
In 1973, a former and now deceased Conservative Prime Minister, Ted Heath, got us into what was then called the Common Market, on false pretences that it was merely a trading agreement.
After he was voted out of office, a couple of years later, the pragmatic Labour Prime Minister, Harold Wilson, held a popular referendum on our membership, basically because the hard left British Socialists, who were not capitalist globalists, but Marxist, opposed our membership.
That turned a lot of people in favour of the Common Market, in 1975, myself included, because we still thought it was a European trading alliance and nothing more.
I received the Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour at that time, and became increasingly aware of the globalist implications of what moved from the Common Market, to the European Economic Community, to the European Community, and now to the European Union, with a flag, an anthem, a currency, the euro, (its predecessor, the EERM, with national currencies locked together, we did join, and had to crash out to avoid disaster), and designs of becoming the United States of Europe.
LOL. Sorry about that, Brother Tim. I should have thought before posting. ;-)
Brother John, I think you do have a point about every day being some sort of celebratory day or a day of remembrance. In fact, there are complications of those days already likely posted somewhere on the internet. Your fear may already be realized in National Doughnut Day, etc. If it detracts from your celebration of the only One worthy, for Worthy is the Lamb, then abstain with me from such foolishness as doughnut day.

Oh no, not another one? If it carries on like this, then each day of the 365 days a year will have a dozen special days to celebrate, which should significantly bankrupt every person and business in the land. Well let me register that I am against the continual forming of festal days and paganism.
However, I am glad that in a few hour's time, we shall be out of the EU, after 47 years of increasing enslavement.
