Evangelicals tell Northern Ireland leaders to stop the blame game
The lengthy suspension of Stormont came under particular criticism last year when the Westminster Government passed the Northern Ireland (Executive Formation) Bill that included sweeping changes to the province's marriage and abortion laws.

Northern Ireland had the most conservative abortion provisions in the UK, permitting terminations only if the mother's life was in danger or there was a serious risk to her physical or mental health.

That changed on October 22, when the provisions of the Bill permitting abortion up to the point of viability came into effect.

The Bill had specified that the changes would come into force only if Stormont failed to reconvene by October 21 last year. ...

It is absolutely iniquitous that this compulsory power sharing, the “Good Friday” Agreement, was ever forced on Northern Ireland. It was a major concession to the Republican Nationalist terrorists of the IRA, who want union between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

The people of Northern Ireland are not allowed to have a devolved election where the majority party form the government of that province.

The Democratic Unionists, who oppose abortion, and LGBTQ rights, are now very weak, and the Unionist pro-British mainly Protestant majority is fading. The traitorous British politicians of all stripes, who forced LGBTQ “marriage” and abortion in Northern Ireland, and the very happy secularist EU eurozone Republic of Ireland, led by its homosexual Prime Minister, Mr Varadker, with its liberal semi-Catholic leaning, are cooking up an atmosphere where Northern Ireland, despite Brexit for Britain in January 31st at 11 pm, will be merged back into the Republic of Ireland, the EU and the eurozone, at some future date. The new forced coalition in Stormont will not make any attempt to reverse what has been forced in Northern Ireland by Westminster, and Sinn Fein and the Republicans will make sure of it.

"Domionism! Theonomy! Run for your lives!"

Such utter nonsense, Jim! You are crying that the sky is falling when nothing of the sort is happening. Any time anyone proposes a piece of legislation backed by Biblical ethics or directly from Scripture you pull this out. Yet if I oppose your false flag rantings, your next step will be universal healthcare. And you'll be the first to uphold politicians who want to impose their own version of Dominionism on us...atheism.

Universal healthcare, huh? You mean the kind that caused more deaths than any other on this planet last calendar year? That seems like planetary death care to me, getting rid of those useless sorts. What a horror.

What utter nonsense, Jim. You need to find some new false flag to wave. That one's getting tattered.

Northern Ireland had the most conservative abortion provisions in the UK, permitting terminations only if the mother's life was in danger or there was a serious risk to her physical or mental health.

The above is from the article.

The below is from the internet.

http://prolifephysicians.org/app/?page_id=2

"When the life of the mother is truly threatened by her pregnancy, if both lives cannot simultaneously be saved, then saving the mother’s life must be the primary aim. If through our careful treatment of the mother’s illness the pre-born patient inadvertently dies or is injured, this is tragic and, if unintentional, is not unethical and is consistent with the pro-life ethic. But the intentional killing of an unborn baby by abortion is never necessary."

Why, Timothy, I really wouldn't much care if a pastor went and licked envelopes for a political candidate, as long as he kept the politics out of church. He could he find better uses for his time certainly.

John MacArthur wrote:
The issue again is one of priority. The greatest temporal good we can accomplish through political involvement cannot compare to what the Lord can accomplish through us in the eternal work of His kingdom. Just as God called ancient Israel (Exodus 19:6), He has called the church to be a kingdom of priests, not a kingdom of political activists. The apostle Peter instructs us, "But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light" (1 Peter 2:9).

Jim Lincoln, our resident Christians-should-not-be-involved-in-politics guy, has now taken an interest in Irish politics (this in addition to American politics, English politics, Australian politics, you name it). Jim often talks out of both sides of his mouth, but only because he hasn’t discovered a third side to talk from.

Secretary of State Julian Smith and Tánaiste (Irish Deputy Prime Minister) Simon Coveney made the announcement at a press conference at Stormont on Thursday evening.
The move came three years to the day since devolution collapsed in Northern Ireland.
If agreed, the deal, entitled New Decade, New Approach, will see the assembly reconvene on Friday.
Mr Smith, who has written to the assembly speaker asking him to convene a sitting on Friday, said the deal will transform public services and restore public confidence in devolved government....
