Pope says sorry for slapping devotee
Pope Francis apologised Wednesday for his widely-viewed slap of a woman who had grabbed his hand as he greeted Catholic faithful on New Year's Eve.

The image of Francis slapping his way free from the clutches of the admirer was an instant hit on social media.

A personal apology followed.

"We lose patience many times," Francis confessed.

"Spurgeon rightly said:

Of all the dreams that ever deluded men and probably of all blasphemes that ever were uttered, there has never been one which is more absurd and which is more fruitful in all manner of mischief than the idea that the Bishop of Rome can be the head of the church of Jesus Christ. No, these popes die and how could the church live if its head were dead? The true Head ever lives and the church ever liveth in him.

The pope himself must turn from Rome’s papal teachings and put faith alone in Christ alone. Until he does, the pope is not an asset, but an affront, to Christ’s church."
(Eric Davis)

https://tinyurl.com/jsdkc45 (Is a Catholic Christian an Oxymoron?), John had joined a Baptist church, I hope his post would indicate he is staying on that path. 👍

"Many profess but by their fruits we can discern them..." Let's look at the RCC's fruits shall we? False doctrine, persecution of Protestants, pedophilia, corruption, blasphemy, idolatry, false worship, false ideas about God, the way of salvation, Mary, the saints, etc.

Would you want to eat that fruit? If you can, then, you may need to do some soul searching or some research--one of the two.

Or both

Being an old geezer and having his organization trying to fall apart, would make anyone testy---even if a person were a Christian - - which Francis isn't👎
Old people can stay sharp. Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Daniel all had long careers. The Holy Spirit leads the Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. The RCC is the oldest and largest Christian Church. Christians can be defined as those who profess to be followers of Jesus Christ. Many profess but by their fruits we can discern them. The LORD knows best those who persevere in the faith, hope and love that endures.
