Pope: Church must adapt to post-Christian west
he Catholic Church must adopt new approaches to evangelization in a post-Christian West, Pope Francis said in a Christmas message to Vatican officials.

“We need other maps, other paradigms that might help us change our ways of thinking. We are not in Christianity, not anymore!” the pope said Saturday.

“We are no longer under a Christian regime because the faith—especially in Europe, but also in much of the West—no longer constitutes an obvious premise of common life. On the contrary, it is even often denied, derided, marginalized and ridiculed,” the pope said. ...

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
Traditional

"God rest ye merry, gentlemen
Let nothing you dismay
Remember, Christ, our Saviour
Was born on Christmas day
To save us all from Satan's power
When we were gone astray
O tidings of comfort and joy
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy"

You are here at least the first verse of this Christmas Carol throughout the following👍✝

Francis would do well to work towards a post Catholic world❗👍

Unfortunately, I don't think the pope is steering Catholics away from the Romish Church He should be encouraging them to,

Wayfarer pilgrim from Lubbock, Texas writes:
“Anytime a denomination takes a progressive or liberal stance, their shelf life is cut in half. But add a denomination that has shelled out close to 4 billion dollars to pediphia accusations, “ Lucy, we have a problem “.
In 1968, Vatican 2 counsel indicated that having same sex attraction was not a sin. Acting on these were a problem. But if a priest confessed to these feelings, he was permitted to continue as long as he did not act on them. But gradually in catholic seminaries an overwhelming amount of faculty were pro homosexual. Homosexual priests couldn’t act out as adults, but younger people was easier to hide.”

I agree, Wayfarer; and many of today’s “evangelicals” are following suit. As the roaches crawl out of the dark closets and show their true “colors”, we should all be comforted to remember that there’s a shelf-life for the perverts—and a vindication of the righteous at the Final Judgement! Come, Lord Jesus!

Maybe they need to invest in artificial intelligence.

I’m very glad to see the pope admits they are NOT in Christianity.

As for ‘post Christian west’ -
The RCC never got into Christianity anyway.
They are in the same idolatrous fiction they always were in.

The only thing the RCC deems important is that the world pays homage to their popes and are baptized into the RCC. They are saved "SOLELY" through their cultic church and their cultic sacraments.

Their power is in numbers and not truth.
