Notre Dame Students Call for the Removal of White Authors from Curriculum
Student activists at the University of Notre Dame are calling for the removal of white authors from the university curriculum to “decolonize” the university. According to the students, “diversifying the canon helps eliminate the violence of only privileging white scholarship.”

According to a report by The College Fix, a student activist group at the University of Notre Dame called “End Hate at ND” is demanding that the university drastically rewrite course curriculum because they believe it currently features too many works by white authors.

The student activist group published a list of demands to their Instagram page. The students demanded that the curriculum be revised so that the works of minority authors account for at least 50 percent of required readings. ...

All liberal Catholics should be told to either fall in line with Catholic teaching and be against abortion, homosexuality(and other perversions associated with homosexuality) and every other perversion under the sun or be excommunicated from the Catholic Church.

Ignoring Jim.

This is hysterical, actually. What they are essentially lobbying to do is ensure more liberation theology works are prescribed. As if they aren't socialist enough already.

Ridiculous,Tinothy, you forget so soon articles such as,

I have very little use for Catholic Bishops, q v.,

https://tinyurl.com/glxl6yc (Are Bishops the Only Accurate Interpreters of God's Word?)

But this bishop seem to have given an accurate history of what has happened in America when it comes to racism and the Catholic Church. as such I had little to say about it.

I recognize the Romesh prelacy doesn't look like anything that the early Christian Church had for a structure! The goals of the romish church are in conflict with Protestants.

When there is no quality argument, they have to resort to fanning the flames, to have something to attack. They need it like a drug.

It seems to me that those who are at the forefront of the "fight against racism" are among the most racist in the country.

Pure unadulterated politically Correct Liberalist nonsense.

When the children start telling the adults what to teach and how to teach, then the society has lost the plot.

As for singling out the 'white' authors for making the mistake of being born white, the students are racist, naive and vacuous.

Their generation is proving that it has no morals, ethics or common sense. Instead they have a politically correct Liberalist obtuse deficiency of brain matter activity.

To view the future under their control and management is to envisage a primitive dysfunctional uncivilized culture of anthropoids.
Perhaps they would see it as the regression of evolution.

Dennis Sadowski is a Catholic reporter, Jim. What does he know about “the bright light of the gospel?” About what you do, I suspect.

Catholic universities aside, these students are brain-washed and racist themselves. Demanding that 50% of required readings in curriculum be minority authors is arbitrary nonsense. And it is naive to think that demanding this will improve student outcomes, especially when you here the blatant racial bias against Whites by the many minority commentators in the media and podcasts. Instead of a racial Fahrenheit 451 against White authors professors should be mindful to emphasize what is common in all of humanity. To see the absurdity of these students' demands they should encourage the same thing happen in the universities in Nigeria, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Congo.

The Catholic Church has a long, mixed history on racism. I assume these students are trying to do something about it. Reverse racism may not be the cure though ❗👎

Could it be that at the very beginning of the racial divide in the post-Civil War era, there were individuals who simply did not see the need to have the bright light of the Gospel shining on their decisions about the fate of free human beings, made in the image of God, who were enslaved?"...

It should give Catholics something to think about anyway.
