An Alarming Discovery in an Astronaut’s Bloodstream
Astronauts are more than cosmic travelers. They’re also research subjects in the careful study of what exactly outer space does to the human body. On the ground, researchers measure vitals, draw blood, swab cheeks, and more. In orbit around the Earth, the astronauts do the work themselves.

That’s how they found the blood clot.

An astronaut was carrying out an ultrasound on their own body as part of a new study, guided in real time by a specialist on the ground. A similar test before the astronaut launched to space had come back normal. But now the scan showed a clump of blood.

“We were not expecting this,” says Karina Marshall-Goebel, a senior scientist at NASA and the author of the study, published earlier this month. “This has never been reported before.” ...

There is a sermon called "indescribable" by Louie Giglio, you can find it on youtube. Louie shows us all these photographs from NASA that involve creation and God's influence on the universe.

He even shows a christian astronaut.

But I would agree a lot of space technology primary design is to do evil to our neighbor. Airplanes were developed for world war 1, but later were made for commercial use. I always think what John saw in Revelation could very well be future machines that look like Locusts.

Maybe they just want to make sure Mars remains red. With luck, all their leadership will go on the first trip.

Diane says...
"The space program, while exciting in the beginning, has always been about challenging God."

I have always seen it as the exact opposite...

To me, the energy and effort people are putting into space exploration/travel is part of the dominion mandate even if they don't know it. We have been given an innate desire to explore, conquer, and learn about new places. Space exploration is our modern day equivalent of the discovery of the "New World" back in the 1600s...

The challenges we are facing are the same type of challenges they faced, just from the higher technology perspective...

Each day that goes by, we discover more of what God has made in space, and the greatest method of discovery, is being there yourself...

Actually, the "Elephant in the Room" hazard for long-duration manned missions, like to Mars, is not blood clots but this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_radiation
Apollo mission planners tried to avoid expected solar flares, and got lucky since the LEM had no radiation shielding whatever.

The Chinese want to go to Mars in the 2030s. Given the costs and hazards of it, they're welcome to try.

""Free from the steady tug of gravity, the fluids float toward the head and can increase pressure inside the skull.""

You're correct Diane.

This world is where man naturally belongs. God's creation even demonstrates that something as simple as gravity relates to the human body belonging here on earth; Not in outer space.

Evolution could not have come up with that idea. And Darwin's theories could never have foretold of that fact.

"We barely think about it, but gravity defines how we interact with our world. We grow up within its constraints, and our muscles, balance system, heart and blood vessels all depend on it. Gravity literally grounds us — but what exactly is it?"

If so, then man wasn't meant to go into water, either, since we lack gills, fins, etc. And we can have circulatory problems there too, as with the bends.

But while the manned space program may have had incidental technical benefits, I think it was more about redeeming wounded national pride than anything else. So we beat the Russkies to the Moon. What did we get from the billions it cost? Nice pictures, rocks and some raw data for scientists to ponder.

OTOH, unmanned exploration has been much more cost-effective and productive, but just the same, I still doubt this is good stewardship of taxpayers' money, though it's small potatoes now compared to other gov't wastage.

Man was never meant to go into outer space. The space program, while exciting in the beginning, has always been about challenging God. I read years ago that the Challenger shuttle was so named for that reason. How have we really benefitted from the space program all these years? If anyone can enlighten me I’d appreciate it.
