Pope Francis Weighs Adding ‘Ecological Sin’ to Church Teachings
Pope Francis, who has made the environment a signature cause of his pontificate, said he was strongly considering adding the category of “ecological sin” to the Catholic Church’s official compendium of teachings.

Pope Francis has stressed the importance of environmental protection since his election in 2013. He dedicated an entire encyclical, “Laudato Si,’” published in 2015, to the topic.

In that document, he called global warming a major threat to life on the planet and called for a reduction in the use of fossil fuels. He also blamed the global market economy for plundering the earth at the expense of the poor and future generations. ...

Pope Francis is clearly misinformed about Climate Change, which is no surprise since most people are getting their science from the Left leaning media, which prefers the sensational story side. That sells more papers.

“As Dr. Andrew Snelling, who holds a PhD in geology from the University of Sydney in Australia, has pointed out, the debate over climate change is far from a settled issue even among secular scientists. He said, “There is a lot of controversy, not over climate change itself, as everyone agrees climate changes, but over the cause of such changes, specifically whether man has contributed significantly to such changes. I am personally aware of several secular professional scientific societies whose memberships are very divided on this issue, and the continuing debate is heated. Therefore to assert there is no controversy over climate change is utterly deceitful. Students should be told the truth about this debate among professional scientists.” (Answers in Genesis)

Climate Change???
"In the late 1970s, numerous popular media outlets were reporting dire warnings about impending climate change. An April 28, 1975 article in Newsweek began with this phrase, “There are ominous signs that the earth’s weather patterns have begun to change dramatically and that these changes may portend a drastic decline in food production,” and ended, “The longer the planners delay, the more difficult will they find it to cope with the climatic change once the results become a grim reality” (emphases mine).7 Sounds familiar, doesn’t it? We hear similar pronouncements today.
For example, then-Senator Barack Obama said in 2006, “Not only is it [global climate change] real, it’s here,"

The surprising thing is that the Newsweek article in the 1970s was referring to global cooling, and then-Senator Obama was referring to global warming. Yes, that’s right. The panic in the ’70s was that the earth’s temperature was declining and would continue to decline. Today, the concern is the earth’s temperature is rising and that it will continue to rise." (Dr. Alan White)

Well obviously he isn't trusting in God to protect life on earth, instead putting it instead into man's hands.

But then again, the entire point of the RCC is based off of what man can do to please God, so this shouldn't be very surprising news.

Roman Catholic folklore and superstition believes in idolatry, heresy and fallacy.

"Ecological sin" like Global Warming is ignorance in action and blasphemy against the Word of God.

Apparently whatever the world comes up with in its reprobate ideology is adopted into Vatican religiosity for their fallacious dogmatic purposes.

Gen 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."

Standard liberal, make-it-up-as-you-go-along theology.

Consider instead the Word of the Living God, words that endureth forever:
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield to those that trust in him. Put nothing unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. - Proverbs 30:5-6

When you preach and teach what the world believes then you preach and teach any old rubbish. Worldly ideology today believes that if the weather changes then it is mans fault. Thus man controls the weather.
Perhaps he should bring in the practice of rain-dancing!!!

Obviously the Pope and his religious ensemble cannot trust in God for the worlds continued existence because they don't have faith.
No wonder half their team are pedophiles.

Eph 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:"

Back in 2015 Franny was stirring up conservative Republicans for many of the same reasons that he is now.
Ben Schreckinger wrote:
Catholic Republicans are developing a pope problem. Earlier this month, Francis recognized Palestinian statehood. This summer, he’s going to issue an encyclical condemning environmental degradation. And in September, just as the GOP primary race heats up, Francis will travel to Washington to address Congress on climate change.

Francis may be popular with the general public, but key Republican primary constituencies — hawks, climate-change skeptics and religious conservatives, including some Catholics, are wary of the pope’s progressivism. Some, pronouncing themselves “Republicans first and Catholics second,” even say they would look askance at a candidate perceived to hew too closely to the bishop of Rome. This internal conflict flips a familiar script, in which Democrats like John Kerry and Joe Biden were labeled “cafeteria Catholics” when their stances on social issues like abortion and gay marriage differed from those of the church....

I wonder how this antichrist system will define what an ecological sin is? I wonder how many hail Mary’s, our Fathers and acts of contritutions will have to be vainly repeated until the priest tells them they are absolved? Been there, done that.

I believe the catholic church is the great whore spoken of in Revelations. I understand and respect those that disagree with this!

I also believe that climate change will be “one of the” issues the antichrist will use to bring hatred towards the true church of our Lord. Being a good steward of God’s creation is one thing, but worshipping the creation is something totally different. IOW, Christians are not humanists.

There is nothing the church can do to undo or slow down this coming apostasy, but we can warn our brothers and sisters of their true agenda.

Francis is using climate change as a cover for moral storms going on in the Romish Church. (John MacArthur, Pope Benedict, and Karl Keating) a golden oldie by James White, which I just saw today.

Will he the address Southeast Asia, China, India and Africa as the sin makers or will he only address the western world ( US evangelicals) as the great Satan. Seriously, this body of people have caused more grief since the formation of the Byzantine empire on who they are and who the church isn’t.
