Northern Ireland’s Evangelicals Lose on Abortion and Same-Sex Marriage
Abortion and gay marriage have become legal in Northern Ireland for the first time, rallying Christians against dramatic policy changes put in place without their consent.

Northern Ireland’s longstanding opposition to abortion has made it a pro-life holdout in the United Kingdom, with a local ban against the procedure in all cases except if a mother’s health is in danger. Yet, these abortion restrictions were overturned after lawmakers failed to assemble on Monday to block laws passed on its behalf by the United Kingdom.

The UK directive went into effect midnight last night, meaning women can no longer be prosecuted for obtaining an abortion. Hospitals will not provide abortions in Northern Ireland until April 2020. ...

Jim, God regulates and legislates morality, because fallen man cannot abide by right and wrong by himself.

There has to be a list of right and wrong and if it is not God's list it will be someone's list, or everybody's personal list to which chaos will follow.

It is democracy that is at fault, because it is depleted of morality in allowing whatever a majority wishes or wants either be good or evil.

BTW, you are totally out when stating that local politicians would rather have Westminster handle these problems than themselves.
Please inform yourself

Jim, the only people who object to “regulating morality” are those who favor unbridled immorality. In other words, liberals just like you.

This kind of royal overreach is what helped lead to the Revolution here in 1775, led in part by those of NI who'd had enough and come over here.
May the Lord see this nonsense overturned through the means He ordained.
Fellow Christian, the setting of the present powers to be is deaf to protests, or lawful rights. With quite surety, had Paisley's voice been alive today nothing would had been different. The machines of power run ruthless agendas on undemocratic strains of what Paisley had enough experience in his own day.

On the same principle, 1775 was an underhand led revolution by which Ulster Presbyterians were caught up in a swirl landing in America as a 'pretext' or disguised providence.

Arbitrary government is not new but is very much alive today

Yet you say Bloomberg, who also is neither hostile to abortion nor same sex "marriage" would make a good president.

One can figure that the local politicians would rather have Westminster handle these problems then themselves since so much of the Northern Ireland population had gone soft on immorality.

Regulating morality doesn't work unless huge majority of people want it ❗ 👎

and

The Christianity Today article that SA highlighted would point you to this conclusion.

Royalist unlimited power being checked in the past caused a king to be sentenced to beheading.
In another instance in British history Parliament challenged arbitrary government with a subsequent civil war.

Presently, however, as laws are imposed upon a culture in Northern Ireland without consultation, votation or consent, the myth of democracy is been bluntly trampled over, yet this goes on without a blink.

The morally corrupt degenerate Westminster politicians did this.

But it got through only by the fact that Stormont Politicians couldn't get it together and turn up for government.

Voting this lot in was obviously a waste of paper.

The NI people have been ripped of.

Satan's timing was as usual 'perfect' to get the Child murdering abortion and the degenerate sodomite perversion into the laws of NI.

Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet."
