A Sixth-Generation Mormon Meets a Born-Again Christian
It only took one Bible study to send me into a tailspin. Each subsequent study stirred up further distress, as I was shocked to find several crucial disparities between biblical and Mormon teachings. For five months I battled with Gary and the Bible, defending Mormonism with passion. But my fortress began to crumble as I compared the historical authenticity of Mormonism and Joseph Smith with that of the Bible.
This was devastating and infuriating. At the same time, it opened my mind to the biblical view of my nature—sinful, not divine. I saw that I could not obtain eternal life through a temple marriage but only through God’s grace. It also opened my mind to better understand God’s nature—three persons in one God, the Father being Spirit instead of flesh and bones. The Mormon God was a man who worked his way into godhood. The biblical God had always been God, unchanging. I struggled to wrap my mind...
Simply put, I think The Mormons graze not in the pasture God provides but they do feast in the pasture Joseph Smith created, hence they are filled with error.
That lesson can be learned from this example which speaks of Israel, once upon a time.
Hosea 13:6 According to ***their pasture***, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.
Their pasture which filled them I think can be seen in verse 2.
13:2 And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, and idols ***according to their own understanding***, all of it the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.
20 times the KJV renders the term pasture. Here is a link for anyone who cares to see.
Good resource here, free Printable Mormon tracts. I like to carry lots of different tracts on me, in my cars, & etc. To give out to others, were one beggar found food, for the only source of eternal life, no King but Christ Alone amen!
This site has Jehovah Witness tracts, you can print out too!
Pleasant greetings directed your way Neil, I live in a area that has a large Mormon population, as I have spent around at least around 17 years now in studying the Mormon faith. When I had more free time & a smaller family, use to do on a regular basis a ton of street preaching & Abortion ministry, etc.
Learning the Mormon language code talk, is helpful, when they play the game of twister, in twisting scriptures!
A greater reminder in dealing with a lost soul, is asking questions to get them too think & n’t win the argument. As the Lord brings down the veil off the heart & mind amen!
1 Cor 1:17-18 For Christ didn’t send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, & n’t with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power. For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it’s the power of God.

Thanks! I've been looking for a concise summary of things to bring up the next time those polite young men come to our door pretending they're just another bunch of nice evangelicals, instead of the polytheistic loons they really are, complete with scary clerical hierarchy more controlling than Rome's.
B. B. Warfield, "it is solely from its object that faith derives its value. The saving power of faith resides thus not in itself, but in the almighty savior on whom it rests. It is not, strictly speaking, even faith in Christ that saves, but Christ that saves through faith.
False witness is a very big dark place, where the sinner cannot see.
"Sin has alienated man from God (Eph 4:18). His heart is averse to Him; his will is opposed to His; his mind is at enmity against Him. Contrariwise, salvation means being restored to God: “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God” (1Pe 3:18). Legally that has already been done; experimentally it is in process of accomplishment. Salvation means being reconciled to God; and that involves and includes sin’s dominion over us being broken, enmity within us being slain, and the heart being won to God. This is what true conversion is: it is a tearing down of every idol, a renouncing of the empty vanities of a cheating world, and taking God for our Portion, our Ruler, our All in all. Of the Corinthians we read that they “first gave their own selves unto the Lord” (2Co 8:5). The desire and determination of those truly converted is that they “should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him which died for them, and rose again” (2Co 5:15)." (A W Pink)
The power of deception of being in a unregenerate, we hate truth, that brings us into the Light, that exposes our own sin, & how far we fall short of the mark of absolute perfection of Christ Alone. As Mormons are taught they are saved after all they can do; Roms 3:10-12, says other wise to that false notion; Isa 64:6!
Gal 6:14 “But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.” Nowhere can we find Paul shirking from being associated with the cross.
Youth in Asia; Here why you see no Crosses on a Mormon church or a Mormon, wearing one.
Mormon temples are normally adorned with a golden angel rather than a cross. The fact is, crosses are never used on any Mormon buildings. Mormonism teaches that the Cross is a symbol of death, like a Electric chair, that I have personally have heard Mormon missionaries say that & other Mormons too. Strangely enough, Mormon leaders have often pointed to the Garden of Gethsemane as the place where Christ’s atonement took place.
If the Atonement took place in Gethsemane, you have another gospel message, as no scriptures back that up at all!
Gal 3:13 Christ’s death on the cross redeemed us from the curse of the Law, a system by which no sinful human could ever be justified.
Col 2:13 Nailed to the cross was the promised cancellation of the written code with its regulations that condemned us, resulting in the forgiveness of not some but all our sins.
Utah is full of Mormons, you can drive around see hundreds of steeples on top of their churches or whatever theyrefer to call them. Overwhelmingly more than any other faith.
As for Catholics having a huge number, since it's so liberal, they welcome anyone to be counted as a catholic, but majority of churches have barely any people, baring Easter and Christmas. So in statistics towards a large number of Catholics I'm skeptical. What I'm not skeptical is the large number of devout Muslims.
Both Catholics and Mormons are in the process of dying, with most considering the pope to be pagan, and the Mormon prophets to be liberal.
Interesting headline. I wonder how many Mormons are out there. I don't think they make up a major percentage of Americans, and we need to remember that in the eyes of most people doing the counting, like the Census Bureau, Gallup, etc, the Catholic Church has the largest number of Christians in the USA, if not the entire world. Can you remember if you have ever seen a survey that leaves Catholics out of the counting? I haven't seen any.
If you youtube "apologia church studios" you will get some good street evangelism and conversations to mormons. It's from the same church that is with James White who does the Dividing Line on sermon audio.
