Vatican Proposes Recognition of 'Ecological Sins'
articipants in the Vatican synod on the Amazon region proposed adding “sins against the environment” to lists of traditionally recognized sins in their second day of discussions and deliberations.

Synod fathers called for an “ecological conversion” that would allow people to see “the gravity of sins against the environment as sins against God, against our neighbour, and against future generations,” Vatican News reported Wednesday.

“This would imply a need to produce and spread more widely a theological literature that would include ‘ecological sins’ alongside traditional sins,” the report stated. ...

The world is sustained by the Word of His power.

"The fact is clearly revealed that God’s agency is always and everywhere exercised in the preservation of his creatures, but the mode in which his efficiency is exerted, further than that it is consistent with the nature cf the creatures themselves and with the holiness and goodness of God, is unrevealed and inscrutable. It is best, therefore, to rest satisfied with the simple statement that preservation is that omnipotent energy of God by which all created things, animate and inanimate, are upheld in existence, with all the properties and powers with which He has endowed them. " (C. Hodge) (Providence).

Man's religion when he constructs it is fallacy.
Man's science when he constructs it is fallacy.

Those who attempt to create new standards of behavior based on their own preferences, likes, and dislikes are attempting to be like God, which is blasphemy. Whether that be the creation of new "ecological sins" or the crafting of the new morality that upholds and legitimizes the sexual revolution or the critical race theory that the Progressives see he world ultimately becomes something akin to a modern day Tower of Babel, trying to elevate mankind to the status of our own god.

But Psalm 100 says we are His sheep and that He created us and not we ourselves. There are precepts we can use to be good stewards of the good gift we were given, which became damaged thanks to Adam and Eve as the biggest ecological damage created by mankind was the Fall. But to attempt to add to how the Lord has already descibed how we are to live after having attempted to take away what He said was right and wrong...not a place anyone should go.

There will be a new heaven and new earth, therefore eventually mother nature will burn at God's hands, because only He is to be worshipped.

Hi Alan. I'm all for being good stewards of God's creation but when it comes down to labeling something an "ecological sin", it seems a slippery slope. Who is qualified to establish what is an ecological sin? And what will be the infallible measure?

The bible is exceeding clear that "sin" is the transgression of the law (1 John 3:4). The "law" was given at Sinai and in the wilderness so unless "ecological sins" can be found enumerated there..... let's not become guilty of adding to God's law like the pope and his committee of devils are doing.

The Vatican and the Roman religious cult are obviously in full support of the Global Warming fallacy.

The Anglican Church in the UK holds the same conviction. During the last few days the Anglicans C.of.E. had their group of protesters out supporting the Global Baloney campaign.

Obviously their kind of religion does not trust God to look after the world whilst His purpose and plan is worked out.

God does not need man to 'Save the Planet' for Him.

Next up will be the Libs and papists will be saving themselves without God's help.

Salvation by self -- anybody??

The sheer stupidity that passes for wisdom these days isn't worth wasting a keystroke. And the "faithful" hang on every word this fool utters.

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 1 John 3:4
