Teens are pledging not to have kids until leaders take action on climate change
Teenagers have been bursting into the conversation surrounding climate change ‚ÄĒ passionately advocating for the planet and their future living on it. But this college student is making her activism even more personal by pledging not to have children until leaders take action.
Canadian teen Emma Lim told CBS News she made the decision a few months ago not to have children in the future due to the climate crisis. "Because even though I want to have children more than almost anything, what kind of a mother would I be if I brought a baby into a world where I couldn't make sure they were safe?" she wrote on her website....
"Although many people may think otherwise, all of us have assumptions (beliefs) that influence how we look at the facts. If a scientist believes in billions of years of earth history, he will assume, for example, that polar ice needed hundreds of thousands of years to build up over two miles in depth. Scientists who believe in the biblical account of Noah’s Flood, on the other hand, believe the ice must have appeared shortly after the Flood. Depending on their assumptions, equally skilled scientists can reach very different conclusions.
In the global warming debate, it is important to separate fact from interpretation. We hear a great deal about the dangers of CO2 emissions and greenhouse gases, but rarely do we hear the facts behind the hype.
Assumptions and beliefs about the past play a major role in shaping our present attitudes. In order to see past the hype, we must start from God‚Äôs Word, the Bible. From there we can uncover the truth about climate change‚ÄĒthe history, the causes, and the answers." (answersingenesis)
I'm ageing, no amount of band aids ,plastic surgery or money thrown at me, no protestations will change that. I'm ageing, the earth is ageing. Whether or not you believe the Bible, the earth is perishing, eroding dying. I worried myself in the sixties about the BOMB, about the otter with a tear in his eye ( down by the river) I recycled, bought super expensive light bulbs etc. When I was a kid groceries were in paper bags, milk was in glass. I didn't carry water bottles our waste was largely biodegradable. Don't blame our generation for everything. I too didn't want children. Vietnam broke my heart. I am a good steward over what I have control of. I live off grid, I have tank water while God gives rain, but it's looking bad out here where I live. People call a day of prayer??? Seriously. If my kids had been giving me hell and resisting me as children I wouldn't give them a cookie till they apologized. Call a day of repentance and I will be there. I pray everyday for rain, but if my Father chooses to withhold his hand, I couldn't blame him. Our nation is disobedient just as in Elijah's day. I see death and decay all around me, looks a lot like sin. Yes there is serious stuff going on in the world climate. But it's not mother nature and only God the creator can fix it. No amount of
Teenager,‚ÄĚ I don‚Äôt have a job, I don‚Äôt have a car, other people have to pay to cloth, house, feed, provide medical care, educational services for me , and when I stand up, and smirk, ‚Äú Do this and that or else, I‚Äôm goose stepping into the 20th century‚Äôs totalitarianism ‚Äú. The Khmer Rouge still marches forward. More children killed their own Cambodian citizens than pol pots army.
Isaiah 3:12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.:

I wonder if this young lady is promising not to have sex or not to have an unintended baby? This was meant to be sarcasm.
The headline reminds me of children that hold their breath until their parents give them what they want. It's sad how deep the indoctrination runs. One can only hope these youngins' wake up and think for themselves sometime soon.
