What does 'living fully' mean? Welcome to the age of pseudo-profound nonsense
This #inspiration strategy works because humans are wired to want significance and meaning. But what does “living fully” really mean in the age of Instagram, when anyone can wear matching yoga pants as they stand, arms outstretched and back to the camera, soaking in whatever scenic background they’ve found that day?

Madi Richardson, 23, explains that if she’d been asked what “living fully” meant a few years ago, she would have said traveling. Right after high school, Richardson was following a plethora of people her age on Instagram, including some with significant followings. “The photos I saw of them were on vacations,” she explains. “Living, I guess, what seemed like everything but worry or negative emotions.” With every scroll, Richardson saw glorious summers packed full with local music festivals and scenic hikes, usually with inspirational quotes peppered in between.

Soon, doubt started to ...

1 Timothy 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Deuteronomy 13:4 - Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

Colossians 3:17 - And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

The only people who even desire to do any of the above are born again believers.

Life?
"1) A right heart is a NEW heart (Ezek. 36:26). It is not the heart with which a person is born—but another heart put in them by the Holy Spirit. It is a heart which has new tastes, new joys, new sorrows, new desires, new hopes, new fears, new likes, new dislikes. It has new views about the soul, sin, God, Christ, salvation, the Bible, prayer, heaven, hell, the world, and holiness. It is like a farm with a new and good tenant. “Old things are passed away. Behold all things are become new” (2 Cor. 5:17).

2) A right heart is a BROKEN and CONTRITE heart (Psalm 51:17). It is broken off from pride, self-conceit, and self-righteousness. Its former high thoughts of self are cracked, shattered, and shivered to atoms. It thinks itself guilty, unworthy, and corrupt. Its former stubbornness, heaviness, and insensibility have thawed, disappeared, and passed away. It no longer thinks lightly of offending God. It is tender, sensitive, and jealously fearful of running into sin (2 Kings 22:19). It is humble, lowly, and self-abased, and sees in itself no good thing." (J C Ryle)

Same old question about the meaning of life and finding meaning in one's sin tainted life on this broken post-Fall earth.

I appreciate how the Westminster Divines answered this same basic question --

What is man's chief end?

Man's chief end is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

That's Q&A #1 from their Shorter Catechism. The rest of the Q&A flesh out how that works and how it happens.

But Q&A #2 says that the Bible, not Instagram, is the only rule for how to go about that.

Living fully American, Millennial style...

1. Get indoctrinated for the first 18 years of your life at school...

2. Get heavily indoctrinated for four more years at college...

3. Get out of school, get a dead end easy job (while living in you parents basement)...

4. Play video games in the evenings and all day on the weekends...

5. Play more video games...

6. Decide to emerge out of the basement to "get started" in life at 35-40.

7. Play video games in your own basement...

All this while the culture around them rots to the core morally, and starts to rot physically...

From article:
""But, Kuburic argues, a full life – which she defines as one full of meaning, freedom, responsibility, and grounded in an authentic relationship with yourself – is the same as it was pre-Instagram.""

What a load of baloney.

Today's mobile phone generation are brain washed by nonsense.

Nonsense means:-
"words or language having little or no sense or meaning.
conduct, action, etc., that is senseless, foolish, or absurd:
to have tolerated enough nonsense.
impudent, insubordinate, or otherwise objectionable behavior:
something absurd or fatuous:
anything of trifling importance or of little or no use."

Living fully? I thought that meant a possum in every pot and a goatcart in every garage.
