Finnish politician under investigation for citing Romans to oppose LGBT pride
RĂ€sĂ€nen is under scrutiny for publishing a tweet in conjunction with Helsinki Pride on 18 June 2019. Helsinki Police Department on Friday said the tweet suggested that the event is portraying sin and shame as sources of pride and questioned the churchâs participation in it.
âHow does the foundation of the churchâs teachings, the Bible, fit with elevating sin and shame as reasons for pride?â stated RĂ€sĂ€nen.
Well it appears this fellow is simply doing what his Islamic faith tells him to do. His reasoning is certainly not Christian. He was raised a Muslim and as far as I can tell still considers himself to be a Muslim.
One of the main differences between the LGBT crowd and Christiansânot the only difference, of course, but a significant one nonethelessâis that they sin and are proud of it, whereas we sin and are ashamed of it. The affront to God is not only in the action, but in the attitude. Psalms 51:17âThe sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
