6-year-old Christian girl beaten into coma for faith in Jesus
A 6-year-old Christian girl and her parents were brutally beaten and dragged out of their village in Northern Vietnam because of their conversion to Christianity, Open Doors UK reports.

The family of three was forced out of their home and dragged over rocks to the entrance of the village after sustaining beatings that left the young girl in a coma for a month.

Open Doors, an organization that serves persecuted Christians worldwide, said earlier this week that the 6-year-old girl has regained consciousness but doesn't recall what happened to her and isn't able to recognize her parents. ...

Well, Doc, you didn't see the kind of response here that Jimmy Lincoln can arouse or a detailed discussion of holidays, music styles, or millenial viewpoints.

Amen, Wayfarer. As academically as we can make it sound, the horror of it all is really just too much.

American Christians are often too often traveling the road paved by “ Worldly Wise”, too know, if you are a Christian, in a church ( active members), then you must be horribly pained by utter senselessness of our violent world.

Persecution of Christians in North Vietnam.
Sadly, No surprise in a communist country.

Because they don't practice the local pagan philosophy of worshiping their ancestors.

May God be with His followers in North Vietnam to protect His elect and grant them witness to their ignorant neighbours.

The Word of God states:-
Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid."

Matthew 11:25-27 KJV
(25)  At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
(26)  Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
(27)  All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

May the Lord strengthen & bring forth,Godly encourage to the young child, the family & other saints. Who aren’t ashamed of declaring, no King but Christ Alone amen!

PS 96:4-5 For the Lord is great & greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the Lord made the heavens.

O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together. I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and saveth such as are of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
Psalm 34:3-4,15,18-19

Oh, that poor, poor baby. I'm so glad that God saw fit to spare her life, and the lives of her parents. Praying that she snaps out of the amnesia, and that there won't be any lasting damage. Poor little girl.

QC, that was a really great point you made about potential consequences from their false gods if any deviants; any enemies of their own gods, weren't eradicated, etc.

Thank you, Lord, for choosing to spare that family...

Excellent point, Brother Tim. Perhaps it's because we have nothing we can argue about? Perhaps it's because it's just not happening to us...yet. Perhaps it's because we have so little to say and knkw so little about what's happening.

I heard somewhere that a big piece of situations like this one is that the village feels threatened by their gods because not everyone is worshipping them. So the new Christians either need to get back on board or else there will be consequences from these gods. If that's true, idolatry has impacts we don't often comsider in our cultures here in the US.

Three articles tonight regarding severe persecution of Christians. I expect to see a few comments, but not nearly as many as on the vital issue of what type of music is acceptable in church services.
