Gamers risk health in bid to be eSports millionaires
A record $33.5 million is up for grabs but professional eSports players like those competing in The International in Shanghai this week pay a physical price with deteriorating eyesight, digestive problems and wrist and hand damage.

At first, Evgenii "Blizzy" Ri looks perplexed at the notion: "It's impossible, how can you get injuries when you play games?"

Then the 24-year-old from Kyrgyzstan discloses that a doctor urged him to take six months off to give his failing vision a badly needed rest. ...

Gee, let me think..aren't roofers risking their lives every day for money? And they don't even get a retirement plan if they last 25 yrs like firemen and police get.
More dangerous can be sales clerks at those small convenience stores. I've heard in some big cities, they work behind bullet-proof glass. That's a sign of how dangerous their jobs are, and they do not get a retirement plan after 25 yrs like firemen and police get.

Computer games are being used by 'seasoned citizens' in a study by the University of Miami. A friend who took part in phase one said that they use various simulations on the computer, like using an ATM, doing online shopping, online banking, ordering a ticket for a transit system (in some cities you have to use that system, cash is not accepted). And they haven't touched on other situations like check-in at the airport, ordering a video at those red box machines.
Check out the BrainHQ.com site for more info and to try out some free games.

Here are a few reasons I gave up these video games:
A waste of time. (We are to Redeem the time). Eph. 5:16.
Addictive. 1Cor. 5:12.
All play and no work. “If a man will not work neither should he eat” 2The. 3:10.
Christian men shouldn’t spend hours playing video games.
Neglect of self and health. 1Cor.6:19.
