Since Matteo Salvini has come into power, things have settled down a little. Still, the NGO ships from other European nations seek to unload the refugees they pick up here in Sicily. When Salvini tells them to take them to the European country to which they belong, it's almost as if he's speaking to them in Chinese. Right now off the coast of Lampedusa there is an NGO ship from Norway with around 200 refugees. They have been out at sea now for about two weeks hoping that someone gives them permission to dock. What a mess. God have mercy upon us.
