Pot use among pregnant women on the rise
A growing number of women in Northern California are using marijuana before and during pregnancy, a group of researchers at Kaiser Permanente have found and said it coincides with broader acceptance of cannabis use and decreased understanding of potential harms.

Kaiser surveyed women during 367,400 prenatal screenings between 2009 and 2017 at facilities throughout Northern California and published the findings Friday in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

Self-reported marijuana use in the year before pregnancy increased from 6.8 percent in 2009 to 12.5 percent in 2017, and marijuana use during pregnancy rose from nearly 2 percent in 2009 to 3.4 percent in 2017.

California was one of the first to allow medical marijuana and is one of 11 that legalized recreational use in addition to decriminalizing possession of small amounts. The finding suggests that the more permissive laws ...

Yes Chris, it is amazing just how carnal some in our society are. Like you, I cannot comprehend cruelty at this level.

This past Friday, a little baby boy was born in a California hospital. Following delivery, the little baby boy was cleaned up, wrapped up, nice and warm, and brought to his waiting mother and father in their hospital room. The nurse leaves the room so they can all get to know each other, and once they're alone, instead of excitement, and talk about their future together, the couple strangles their little, helpless, newborn son.
Why? "We didn't want him", they said.
Such emptiness, and wickedness that I'll never come anywhere close to grasping.
Also tragic is the fact that California has a safe surrender law, where a parent can drop off unwanted children to any hospital or fire station, within 3days, but they chose to murder him instead. So sad.
I found an article regarding this and I was actually amazed! How anyone, especially the new mother, could do something like this is beyond understanding. I can only imagine how cute, loving and helpless this little baby was.

If the boyfriend participated in the murder, he will be found guilty. If only the mother was involved, it could go either way.

My opinion only of course.

Thanks for this Chris!

I wish that too, Mike.

Unfortunately, marijuana use is up probably across the board. And some will decide that because it is used as "medicine," it's safe enough to use whenever, further destroying lives.

Pot use is on the rise in all parts of society.

In a generation where murder of the unborn child is becoming an industry it's no surprise that their mothers are stoned.

That's probably how they got pregnant in the first place.

This is definitely a generation who "Knows not God"
Judges 2.

Sin dominates everywhere in this generation.
But hasn't it always been the case?

Freedom of transgression.
But.
NO freedom of religion.

Free will is a delusion.

Come Lord Jesus, Come Soon.

I wonder how many pregnant women are:

1. Not married.

2. Must work during and after the pregnancy to survive.

3. Are unbelievers or are married to unbelievers.

I am of course not a woman, so I have no idea about the stress of bearing children, but my guess is if they are like the examples above, then marijuana is a real probability especially since it is so easy to get. IOW, no surprise to me.
